Us bank just announced a new premium card.

Looks like you will need a US Bank customer to be approved..

$400 annual fee is an effective $75 after the $325 annual travel credit. The 3x points on mobile wallet purchases is intriguing..

I had the same thought. I'd love to see Chase follow suit with the Reserve.

Successful Plastiq report:

As an alternative to meeting minimums outside of pure Manufactured Spending, I used Plastiq to pay my auto loan and it worked.
1) Payment scheduled on 12 April
2) Payment processed by Chase auto about ten days later.

Next month I think I'll pay extra. $300 pymt is $307.5 after fee. So 2.5% fee.

What cc did you use? I periodically use the Citi att for 3x online payments.

Barclays Arrival plus
It's 2% on everything (I realize I'm losing money with the fees, but It's worth it if you'd like to reach a 3 or 4k minimum).

It's 3% on all online payments?

At this rate I'm going to be about a little short for the 5k in 90 days for CSR. Should I just venmo my buddy whatever I need left and just have him cut me a check back?

Not a terrible plan. $500 would cost 15 bucks of venmo fees essentially.

What I would personally do is buy gift cards off of Cardpool.

I thought it was just 4k spending in three months?
At any rate, Yes, Venmo should be fine for that. I like to make the amounts on the transactions a little bit different, but I'm just paranoid.

I was going to do it all at once? Is there a max that venmo allows?

Now you've got me questioning if it's $4k or $5k in 90 days.

I could've sworn it was $5k, but the current sign up bonus is $4k...wonder if it changed when it switched from $1,500 in rewards to $750?

No, it has always been 4k. I think amex had 5k required spend for higher end cards.

Just started getting into this late last year. Wife just got approved for SW business card, already has personal SW card, so after min spend we will have companion pass.

So, now wife has CSR, SW personal and SW Business. Does this put her at 3/24 ? Didnt know if business card counted into this. Gonna go for the B of A Alaska card next couple of weeks for her then Hyatt card after summer (want the two free nights for summer 2018 Hawaii trip). Does the Hyatt card count into 5/24? Seems like I have read it both ways on internet.

Thanks

Business cards do not count toward 5/24.. so she is at 2/24. Chase Hyatt is not affected by 5/24 but it does count toward 5/24, as does the BoA card and all other non-business cards.

I am not an expert but I think that business cards through Chase do count toward 5/24 which puts you at 3/24. I would look at the Chase cards with best sign up bonuses next such as one of the INK cards and then any other Chase cards you may be interested in before doing the Hyatt and IHG cards since 5/24 does not matter when getting these cards. It does count toward 5/24 for any other cards that have restrictions. Then get other companies cards you are interested in.

I was on the phone with Chase the other day cancelling my CSP, and when I asked what my downgrade options were was informed that I could downgrade to a no fee Sapphire. When I replied that I thought they discontinued that card entirely, he acted like he had no idea what I was talking about. I already have a no fee Sapphire aonit didn't matter to me, but still.

So, PSA, the no fee Sapphire is a great card to downgrade to of you don't already have one.
