I agree with you 100%. I am just saying, doing something spectacular does not need to cost a lot of money. If you are older than I am, look back in your life and you will realize the best memories of your life were the ones that did not cost a lot of money. I already do.
I'm not saying don't do the fun things now. I am saying - do what you could afford to do with your continuous cash flow and not on one time income.

Find a rural piece of Land, 5-10 acres that doesn't flood.

FYI I said take a nice trip AND buy yourself some nice things that will last. Key words "will last". Suits, furniture, anything that you do as a hobby, etc. Things you would buy at some point regardless, might as well buy them nice and have them for a long time.

Look, saving is good. But this board goes waaaaay overboard and completely misses the point of life sometimes. Although, I think alot of posters arent telling the truth and just trying to play up being frugal and saving because thats what the board wants to hear.
A-fricking-men.
At some point money is meant to be spent, not collected. Once in a lifetime trip, even a luxury item you have always wanted.... Just do it. As the one guy mentioned, everyone has regrets of things they didn't do in their 20s. I 100% agree with the comment of rather spending the money now on a trip with a beautiful 20something female companion than saving the money for the same trip as a 70 year old. Bravo.

Take it all and put in a robo-advisor investment account such as Betterment or Wealthfront. You can thank me when you are 65.
