Bring a hanging bag and hope theyll hang it? Fold it?

Wear the suit when you travel. If necessary, get it cleaned and pressed at your hotel when you arrive. Problem solved.

That's what I do...Or at least wear the jacket dressed down with khakis or jeans depending on the suit color.

It amazes me how much better I'm treated by TSA and Airline staff when I'm wearing a suit vs casual dress(khakis/jeans and polo/button down).

I travel with suit and no hanging bag almost every week. I try as much as possible to do the following...

- Buy the "traveler crease" type pants. Or at least a brand/type that doesn't wrinkle from a few minutes of wear. I fold them like you would on a hangar and lay them flat on the top of my clothes.

- I try as much as possible to wear my suit jacket on the plane. But I often won't. And I fold it "long ways" and lay on top of my slacks. First thing I do when I get to my hotel or rental car is take it out. Sometimes it needs a quick steam or just hang it in bathroom while I'm showering.

Guess I'll wear at least the jacket. I won't have time to have it pressed as I'm flying in Monday evening and I'm interviewing on Tuesday.

I wouldn't take the risk of spilling something on your jacket. I'm no slob, but I've had to buy new pants at the DFW brooks brothers after dripping egg mcmuffin grease on my crotch right before a meeting.

I would bring the hanging bag - worst case scenario you fold it in half and put it in the overhead. Your hotel room iron can work wonders on a wool suit.

Just put it in a hanging bag and ask them to put it in the closet. I do it all the time

If you're going to check in at a hotel first hang the suit on the shower rod in bathroom, turn the hot water all the way up, and close the bathroom door. This works great.

Google how to fold the jacket for flying. I've done it a few times and it comes out of the suitcase damn near perfect.

Hanging bag and ask stewardess to hang it up. They won't say no.

Pants are easy - just fold them up and when you get to hotel, hot shower steam them (as others have said) or just iron them and hang them.

I often will wear the jacket on the plane. When I get on the plane, I take it off and put it folded once long-wise on top of my carryon bag in the overhead compartment. Yes, they could put it in the closet near the front of the plane, but I'm always afraid I would forget about it in the bustle of getting off the airplane.

And to the guy commenting about TSA not harrasing you as much if you are wearing a suit jacket... absolutely. Not only them but the airline people are a lot nicer to me when I wear a jacket, maybe they think I'm one of their high-paying customers!

I'm wear my suit if I'm traveling and big money is on the line. You can't show up to an exec meeting with a wrinkled suit.......That is only if I'm having meeting same day as travel.

If not....I fold the suit and dry clean it when I get to hotel........Its about 20 bucks but work covers it and If deals for 500k-2 million are on the line, who cares.

I ended up just at folding it gently in my carry on. I'll take it out as soon as I get to my hotel.

I saw an ad for this bag recently and was impressed. Seemed like a good option.

That's one of the cheapest bags like that I've seen. I didn't have time to order a bag though. I'll have to consider investing in one.

Why in the hell were you eating over your lap wearing a suit

As someone who wears a suit almost every day, what really sneaks up on you are soups and tables with holes in them. Soups because a dropped item (pho kills me with this) can cause a splash, and tables with holes (generally one of those diamond iron tables) are self explanatory.
