I know a lot of people here own NRZ stock. I’m thinking if it gets under $15.15 I’m going to load up on more. Anyone else thinking the same?

Did anyone load up?

They announced a divided reduction today which is causing a sell off. It’s about to dip below $5/share which is close to the year low

It certainly looks like an interesting long term value play and their forward yield is still over 3%, which is not terrible in this current environment.

We’re about in the same boat, 85 at $6.85 here. Was wondering if the dividend reduction was scaring off any longterm holders

I bought some last week and just bought some more. Now holding 200 shares DCA'd at $5.96.

Don't know anything about this stock, just going to try to hit a few home runs per this board's advice with some play money.

Damn this stock has had one hell of drop. Cutting the dividend doesn’t help I’m sure.

Tempting... it looks like they basically eliminated their dividend today. Very nasty breakdown

This still a play? Many have invested in this stock so you probably have really good information on it. It’s taking a beating, so I’ve been doing a bit of research on it trying to decide whether to get in this morning.

The CEO was on the board at Bear Sterns during the 2008 mortgage crisis and before that he helped build Lehman’s adjustable rate mortgage business, so we know he’s willing to roll the dice and lands on his feet even when even a major company he’s with goes under. They have cut their dividend 90% and dumped $6 billion for what appears to be a liquidity crunch during this pandemic. Ocwen, a major partner, is now pulling their guidance for the year as of this morning. I know the Federal Reserve is buying up mortgage debt, which would seem to help, but the effort is focused on securities consisting of agency loans that were created with help from the federal government . That’s different from New Residential’s non-agency debt. That’s from what I can tell, but I may be getting this wrong. What are thoughts on whether it makes it now and is it time to get in/add more?

Yeah, they cut the common, not the preferred(s).

But that drop off was massive prior to the cut.

I'm going to double my position today, My average is at $5.22. Should put me at about $4.20ish range.

Then is a long hold

I thought you would have some information. If you are adding then you must feel pretty good about it’s ability to stay solvent.

Shorts are slaughtering it on the downgrade by KBW. This is where the fun begins with markets in turmoil. If it survives it could be good, but it will be hard to stomach and has a lot of institutional money that could crater it or hold it up. Fun times!

NRZ down nearly 30% on the day and CIM is down 12%. Is this drop being seen across the board in the real estate sector?
Thinking about buying down NRZ but I'm in at near $4 already and feel good about that.
