I used it and when it worked, it worked well. The problem is it constantly gave me errors saying that I needed to update passwwords and such for my accounts, even though I never changed them. Thus, I ended up with red exclamation marks everywhere, and it had trouble connecting to some of my accounts. Also, it didn't have my car note lender in the system.

This and it could never connect to two of my lenders for my rental properties. It worked for about a month before I gave up on it.

if you want to monitor investments, I think personal capital is better.

I tried it, but had the same error and password issues mentioned above. I'm using the Living Balance Sheet program now. I like it thus far.

If you are looking to manage your budget and spending Mint is great. Like posters above said "when it works". They have fixed a lot of bugs over the years but still encounter a few every now and then. Not nearly as many errors on my accounts as I used to have pop up.

If you are looking to manage and track your investments all of that then personal capital is what you need.

I use Mint for budgeting and personal capital for investments.

Great for tracking spending. Useless for long term stuff - I don't have it hooked to my mortgage, 401k, or any of that. But it lets you check your day to day expenditures, and you can see if anything unusual pops up. It does have some annoying features - I got a six alarm e-mail saying I had drastically overspent my budget for "federal taxes" in the month of April. And there are ads of course, but easy to ignore and they're not too obtrusive.

I don't have any issues with the accounts updating. All my loans and investments are through large companies so it tracks everything for me. I think it is great for day to day and keeping a pulse on monthly spending. Taking the time to set up a budget really helped us determine where we could cut spending and has led to increased saving for us. Also, I had no idea what my net worth was until I spent the time to upload every asset and debt into mint.

Not great for tracking investments, but it's a lifesaver when it comes to monthly budgeting. I personally love it.

I've used it for about 5 years. I usually check it once or twice per month to make sure deposits and checks are going where they should.

I use Personal Capital as well.
I don't know if Mint is better or not.

I tried YNAB but that is to much budgeting and keeping up and changing stuff for me.

I have been using it since 09 and have awesome data on my spending habits and income. I enjoy it and it works well 80% of the time. Big banks seem to work the best (I have chase) but small institutions like credit unions have trouble for some reason.

I would recommend it if you plan to actively track your financials and are ok logging in and categorizing purchases on a regular basis.
