Yeah we got 3 car seats and that puts us in a conundrum... Believe me I have researched this out. Have to have the quad seats or we are no better of than the car we have now.

Nay all the way. How long will you have three full car seats? Chances are, the car note will last longer than that. There are far less expensive ways to deal with this temporary need.

Are you me??? I have 3, never thought I'd own a suburban...now I have the exact one you're looking at. I really like it. I only drive it on weekends and trips and I can't imagine traveling with 3 with anything smaller. Only thing 45k seems a little high for the mileage.

Car seats for each kid is about 5 yrs...then boosters for awhile. Once you get past 2 kids you need a bus with storage space and a rear passenger area that is easily accessible for strapping in kids.

Yay...if it's loaded or has four wheel drive. Maybe it's worth considering a lower end model with fewer miles.

A Honda minivan costs $40,000 these days. Suburban is actually a very good vehicle if you have enough garage for it.

New that's an almost $70k vehicle. $45k for a 2015 is actually not a terrible deal.

This Land Cruiser will last much longer than that Suburban.

Or this CPO one.

My wife got a 2015 Yukon SLT with 15k miles and all the extras you had in your note for $51,000. I know Suburban is a bigger car, just giving you that.

I would go with the LC over a suburban any day. However, it depends on how much stuff you haul daily. If you only need the extra space for beach trips, buy a cargo box for your roof for the LC. 40k for that 2011 is a steal, and that car has at least another 250k miles left in it. Plus it wont start rattling at 100k miles, or have a shitty, worn out interior like chevys historically have done.

It books out well. Getting it for below the current trade in value. We will put less than 8k miles on it per year so we will have it a Long time.

Land Cruisers can't haul near as much cargo and people as a Suburban. And the Suburban in the OP will easily last him another 140,000 miles at the minimum. Yes, LCs are know for durability, but Suburbans aren't exactly unreliable either.

Although, If I was the OP and was looking for a vehicle to comfortably move 3 kids and car seats and lot of cargo, I'd be looking at he Nissan NV in the SL trim. Bluetooth, nav, heated seats, etc. Plus more passenger and cargo space than you'll ever need and can be bought for around $40,000 brand new. Seats can be configured in many different ways to move lots of people and lots of stuff.

Only issue is they're kinda weird looking

I promise you, no European family with 3+ kids owns a giagantic SUV, despite car seats & "stuff" to haul around. It's a lifestyle choice to drive such a car, not remotely a necessity. If I did have 3 carseats, I'd rather drive a much cheaper, more fuel efficient sedan over a gas guzzler, and go on a nice vacation with the money I saved. Or add the difference in funds to those three kids' college funds...

A Dodge Charger would get about +10 mpg than the Suburban, and cost $10-$15K less, brand spanking new off the lot. Ditto for a Chrysler 300, or even various minivans. And all of those will fit into a standard garage space.

Well good for them.

Tell me about all these sedans that can fit 3 car seats and all the cargo necessary for doing anything with those three children.

A Charger to move 3 kids in car seats around. Come on.

With 3 car seats, I'd be getting a minivan (for the wife of course)

The car in the OP is not a bad deal IMO but I think minivans are way more practical for families with small children.

Thats a real good price, sold my sister-in-law 2015 Suburban ltz with 28k for $49200 (that was $100 above owning the vehicle), she loves it and got features she wants, and gave her bookout on trade, that is what the kicker should be (price can be lower at other dealers sometime, but depends what they can do on trade/difference, some people dont understand that)
