I almost forgot.

LSU vs Alabama (Nov 6, 1999). Josh Booty ends the game trying to rush the ball with a receiver open to the far side. His slow arse doesn't make it very far. We lost 23-17.

we had a few game winning drives that year fall just short at the goal line with just seconds remaining. nothing could go right

I guess it is noteworthy to also mention Booty was stopped on the 1. Which made it that much more dramatic.

Losing to Iowa in the capital one bowl (2005).

My roommate at the time in tech school was from Iowa and was a Hawkeye fan. I ragged him all the time about Iowa football sucking. Pride comes before the fall...

Monday night overtime loss to UT. Having to go home to nothing with a heart wrenching loss was unbearable. I soon got over it when we beat Florida later in the year at Death Valley.

Everyone's answer has to be the loss against Arkansas the day after thanksgiving. I was sure they just blew the biggest opportunity ever to go to the national championship. Tenn game was a close second

the only sad moments I've had as a Tiger fan are those when one of our own passed away at too young of an age. I wouldn't trade any of the other memories, good or bad, for anything.

not sure if you mean buster stopped at the 2, or buster was stopped at the 2...but had JR threw that ball 2 seconds earlier buster would've scored.

02 Arkansas game is as 'sad' as it gets for me. But then that loss was the rallying point for the next season so not sure if it was that sad.

U are correct I mispoke I didn't intend buster had stopped at the 2 however the worst play of that get was clearly when jr took a sack outside the pocket instead of throwing it away earlier on that drive

Wally Pontiff.

For strictly on-field moments, the end of the Final Four game against Tennessee a few years ago because we went from having a chance to advance to the title game to the season being over in a few seconds.

Cap One Bowl and Miracle on Markham sucked but were less crushing.
