He should go to the draft. His age may bring him back though.

I'd hope he'd come back and play Left Tackle and maximize his value

I would personally like to see Pocic at the T position. LT - Hawk LG - Vadal C - Clapp/Dodd RG - Boutte RT - Pocic

^ this

Pocic is at LG w Vadal at RT. Pocic is not our center. Vadal was promised a shot at tackle, if for some reason he doesn't preform well I'd assume he and pocic switch spots.

I think you'll see a high level of competition at that RT spot. It'll be solved after Miss St.

Fournette vs Florida 2014

Just pay attention to Pocic in this video.

I agree. What do you see happening if vadal is moved to guard though?

If it's about the best 5 being out there I guess maybe vadal replaces boutte (or goes LG w pocic at RG) and Malone goes RT. Or possibly pocic to center with boutte and vadal at Gs with Malone outside.

My guess would be pocic and vadal switching spots however.

I think the one knock on him at the next level is that he needs to gain little bit more weight.

I think the most balanced line is:

Hawkins|Boutte|Clapp|Alexander|Pocic

The only certainty is Hawkins at LT. I can see Teuhema or Brumfield passing up Boutte at guard and Clapp playing at guard with Pocic at center again. I'd rather not have Alexander at a tackle position because I think he lacks the lateral quickness to block the edge rushers in this league.

I don't think there's a knock at all. With how the NFL has changed at the DE spot, athletic tackles who can move are more coveted than ever. The biggest knock on La'el last year was that he was fairly hefty compared to other tackles in the first round. Pocic is well put together at 6'7 and is immensely powerful in run blocking as well. He's also proven that he can gain leverage against any size player which scouts will love.

do you think he leaves after this year or do you think he comes back to be the left tackle next year to make more money

who's to say Hawk leaves after this year. Remember, La'el came back for his senior season

Pocic is going to be the highest drafted LSU OL ever when his time comes

Of course Faneca currently holds that title as 1st Round (26th pick).

Clapp has the nod at center as of now

I actually like the idea of Pocic at center. It'd probably go a long way having him there with Jennings or Harris.

Who would be the other guard?

I still like Brumfield at one of the guard spots. His athleticism along with his strength, will make us a force in the inside with Pocic and Clapp.

Not sure to be honest. It's a really good opportunity though for our young guards.

I prefer Pocic at G vs C...He looked like the quickest OL last year and did well in a "pulling" role.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Pocic at C.

He's our most athletic lineman. I think you let him play in space and give the center spot to either Dodd or Clapp. Both would be fine centers.

WTF? Did Vadal Alexander leave the team or something?

Much better fit at the LG position. Also since he's highly unlikely to be considered for T at the next level it will optimize his draft status.

Pocic will be an animal at RT. Likely All-SEC.

My 5:
LT - Hawkins
LG - Alexander
C - Clapp
RG - Boutte/Malone tossup for whoever wins the job when fall starts
RT - Pocic

I think Les/Grimes will give the Freshmen and RSFreshmen a chance to earn a spot on the right side of the line. Either Teuhema, Brumfield, and/or Valentine-Okeke will see significant time this year.
