Yeah, fine. He got Gonzales, so on that basis (plus his recruiting, his character, and record for his first 3 years), he deserves a shot to fix the offensive coaching next year. But he needs to do more than merely improve the offense to keep his job into 2011, in my opinion. He needs to start showing that he has a blue chip system in place for coaching offenses through good years and bad years too. None of this "well, we don't have a 4th or 5th year QB and super-talented O-line, so things are naturally going to suffer bullshite" anymore. And the idiotic mistakes on basic aspects of the game--such as getting plays called in time and players lined up correctly to where they understand the plays being called--has got to stop.

Another year and the minimum standard for me will be 10-3 including the bowl.

I can take Miles for one more year but if LSU is middle of the pack again in the sec he needs to go. I can't stand losing to Ole miss Florida Bama 2 years in a row.

I get pissed at him at times, but acting like he needs to be fired is retarted, I will give it a few more years and hope for the best

I still like CLM and still believe in him. I think he depended on the players doing the right thing. He needs to take back the team and get on their arse. He needs to put the best players on the field instead of who's been here the longest.

If he don't change I expect him to be fired after next year going 9-4.

We should have some new leaders this year so maybe we will see a change in this team. Maybe they will get off their arse and work harder in practice and the weight room.

This has absolutely nothing to do with it. It's not about leadership or toughness or discipline or anything like that--it's about achieving the most rudimentary, basic level of competence in simply drawing up a SEC-level offensive playbook, and then coaching players on how to implement it. The other stuff might make a difference at the margins, but right now all that's just gravy compared to the meat and potatoes of fixing the most dysfunctional coaching system I've ever seen at LSU (excepting Tepper's defenses in 1998 & 1999, of course).

Don't be so hard on yourself. Maybe you are a little slow, but I don't think you are an idiot.

I say Les stays. At least a couple of more years.

It's not the end of the world. LSU will never go back to the Dinardo or Hallmand days. TAF would never allow it.

Time will tell. In my opinion, he deserves it.

I think this thread is pointless cause it does not matter if you want him here or gone. The fact is he will be here next year and 2011 unless the bottom falls out.
