I definitely think it is. Team speed, pitching depth & defense is outstanding. A good-hitting team, but not a power team sans Deichmann.

Hopefully, LSU can take care of business the next two weeks and get to Omaha. I definitely think this team can play well in that park.

Yes. But im sure if we lose a game or two, the fans will go back to criticizing the types of players PM recruits

This team is better suited to win than the 2015 team solely because we have a 3rd starter.

He better get Kramer off that HR swing kick or he's gonna fly out shy of the track every at bat

Yes.

I personally think this is how Mainieri has been forming his teams for a while - as in also who signs, etc.

You need pitching, defense and speed in Rosenblatt 2.0 as a template.

You gotta win G1 in CWS and then let the chips fall.

The problem has been losing SR or regional, or if make CWS losing game 1 and end up 2nq or 1-2 ousted.

LSU hasn't won first game in CWS since 2009.

Yes they're suited but I don't see how they're any more suited than 2013 was. And they went 0-2 of course. Just like that season LSU has tons of speed and good starting pitching. Omaha is a crap shoot.

He hasn't been HR or bust for a while now.

agreed with the exception of, maybe, not having all the situational pitchers we need.

However speed is the key... I agree with you there. Need it on the base pads and defensively to play in that stadium vs some of those teams.

Yes, this team as better suited than just about any team in the country. Blazing speed in the outfield, stellar pitching, and they don't live/die by the long ball. And 3/4 of the infield starters were recruited as SS. Only players that seem to be struggling during this hot streak are Coomes and Beau.

Well I thought we were perfect in 2013. Had everything. So I will just play the wait and see as I've done all season. Don't prove me right or wrong. Just keep winning

I can get this, but with the spread out format of CWS now compared to yesteryear, it's highlighted starting pitching.

Assuming you win every game, you need your 3rd starter in Regionals, then wouldn't need him again until 3rd game in CWS. Ace can pitch 3 games.

ETA: Which doesn't tax your relief staff as much.

Our UCLA game was so frustrating.

Well hit!!!

[straight to right fielder on warning track]

aaaaargh!

And UCLA pitchers were so damn slow. Wanted to go ahead and get arrested but it woulda been worth it to run onto the field and mace him.
