If our recievers were as good as Julio Jones we wouldn't have had so many dropped passes or they could have caught some of those bad passes that JL threw. He was the best reciever on the field Saturday. He should go pro this year.

Lafell has had a statistically better season than Julio. Just saying.

I would say that he is Bama's version of Terrance Toliver, but because of Bama's lack of depth he gets more playing time compared to Toliver at LSU. Julio has a couple more pounds on him, so he breaks a couple more tackles. That could have been because of our DB's arm tackles.

Dropped passes and missed tackles are indicative of something much worse than a regression in talent. This team has real problems with fundamentals.

Julio dropped a couple catchable balls as well. I think Tolliver can be as dominant if given the oppurtunity and a consistent qb.

Our receivers have nothing to do with how Bad Lee is playing. Should have caught a few more passes, but the bad throw for a bama score, the throw right into a bama defenders face (I guess he did not see him coming), and the one into double coverage in the OT

The one drop for a sixty yard TD would have won the game for LSU and minus 1 pick in OT for Lee. Everybody on the team needs to step up their game. Bryd needed to catch the ball and not be scared of getting hit. When you have a Qb with shakey confidence catch the ball and help him out.

I agree. I've noticed the WR's don't come back for the ball like they should. It's almost like they don't try to catch it unless it is perfectly thrown to them. I blame them for not doing their job of giving it their all either.

You can blame Lee for his bad decisions on plays, but you also need to blame the WR's also for their lack of effort.

For someone not giving a lot of effort Lafell is certainly dominating the SEC.

I have never a player have an All-SEC Level year and be so utterly denigrated and ignored by his own fanbase.

I think LSU's receivers are just fine. Good. But, I will also say AJ Green and Julio Jones... Wow! Don't know if the SEC has seen two better freshman at WR in the same season.

Lafell is a beast. Byrd is a beast. Tolliver is a beast only thing missing is consistent play at qb. Yeah there have been drops here and there, but how can they show more effort. I think I have seen all of them decleated going after one of lee's errant throws.

I think the wide receivers have a lot to do with Lee's struggles. It is not just about his stats. With the receivers dropping the balls, Lee starts to lose confidence in them and himself. He feels like the pressure is more on him to make something happen so he tries too hard. If they don't drop some of the balls, we score a TD and don't have to run another play or get a good gain and can change the play calling. If we are in 3rd and long, he tries to make something out of nothing and makes bad throws. It also appears that Lee and the WRs are not on the same page. Lee seems to be throwing to a spot and the WRs run a different route. I am not sure if that is Lee's fault or the WRs. Just go back and look at the Bama game.

I am not saying he is not at fault. He is a young guy and needs to stay in control. Someone said it a few weeks ago in the game and I really think he is like a young Brett Favre. He has a great arm and he will make some mistakes. If he has the tough skin that Favre has, great leadership, and the ability to bring the team back, then he will be very special. I think he has shown the ability to bring the team back against Auburn and to bring the team back against Florida before they pulled away. I am not giving up on Lee. One thing I did see was Lee looked nervous at the line when they were in the no huddle. Maybe he was just calling the play, but to me, he looked uncomfortable.

There is no doubt that Lee has talent. Maybe Crowton just needs to design the game plan around what he can do. That TD pass to Byrd against Bama was thrown perfectly. I would like to have seen them use that play a few more times in the game. I don't think we should give up on Lee. We haven't seen much progression this year, but when the light comes on, I think he could really be special. I would like to see what Jefferson can do. He can bring a different element to the offense.

I would have liked to see them just run the dang ball with scott and williams. Keeping the ball out of Lee's hand.

If our qb was a little better, our receivers would look better. Even jones dropped a few in the game...our qb needs to learn how to look off a receiver, pump fake a couple of times, and run the damn ball when it is necessary, say for two to three yds for a first down instead of throwing it away....

Speaking of receivers where is JMitch. Where is the screen play. I know that he can help this team. What's up with Miles not putting him on the feild at all. After watching the Spring Game I thought that he would be getting a chance to return some kick offs also.

Let's hope Rueban Randle realizes that he can be our J. Jones. What a rivalry inside the game this would be. This guy is a beast also. Let's pray that he chooses LSU. Hope he doesn't go to Bama. They wouldn't have enough footballs to get both of them enough catches. He would be our stud, with lots of complimentary recievers around him. And yeah I know we need a QB to get the ball to him. That will come around. It can't get any worse.

The whole passing game just needs to find a rhythm.
