Not enough body of work from Steele yet. I know people made up their mind, LSU was thin all year long in the secondary. There was good improvement from the DLine this year and the linebackers played pretty well. I would say Steele was an upgrade from Chavis last year.

Jury still out on Steele. No need to force him out as of now.

Steele is guilty until proven innocent.
Miles has been that way for 11 years with a large portion of knuckleheads that claim to support LSU.

Would not be the answer 4 months ago.
Yes it would have. Anyone thinking Steele was a good hire at DC was delusional.

No. Chizik has been in a lower ranked conference and he is a walking reminder of Mr. Rogers, "it's a beautiful day in the neighborhood..."
Steele didn't do badly from a scheme standpoint ... and with a roster that had some big holes in it. I suspect Steele is a better recruiter for LA type prep players, more intense.
But far be it from me to stand in the way of an unreasoning lynch mob. Weakest point of the D this year was DL. Who was coach?

No. Why you think so?

Steele was the one coach on Miles' list of possible DCs that NOBODY wanted

Absolutely. And it would've been the same answer 6 months ago and one year ago. Are you trying to say that LSU did that because they didn't.

That's a new one I haven't heard yet.

Miles is also prone to gamble on 4th down...Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. There is no guarantee that most of the Rant wouldn't be all over Chavis if he were still at LSU. I didn't see much improvement in Texas A&M this year--even though Chavis knew Fournette, he didn't stop him.
