Texas d has been very legit this year they may not have played a bunch of explosive teams. but their d is very good

Only reason I wouldn't is because Chavis will always be a DC...Muschamp wants to be a HC. That means he wouldn't be here for long. Chavis is in it for the long haul (well unless he follows Fulmer somewhere, then all this is a moot point).

yea even with the coach in waiting contract at texas i still dont see him here more than 5 years. if texas wins out then the pressure for him to leave will mount even more.

Yes, due to the 15-20 year difference in age.

Mississippi State and Ole Miss torched LSU.

21 first downs and over 300 yards for both. Ole Miss over 400.

I am not trying to take anything away from TExas and the D, but i can't in good conscience say i'd hire a D-coordinator based on dominating
ULM, Wyoming, UTEP, Colorado, Missouri, UCF, Baylor, Kansas, and TAMU. Tex Tech, OU and OSU were the only decent teams played with offenses and i don't know for sure (maybe one of you knows) if even OU had Bradford playing in that game...not stirring the pot, just saying that Ole Miss might be in the top 10 if they played that schedule.

its basically between do you want a d coordinator who is very aggressive and takes chances, or a d coordinator who doesnt take as many risks but hardly gives up the big one? I like aggression so i go with muschamp
