Obviously it will never happen but my brother asked me the question last night. Here are some notable hires each have made:

Les

Positives
Ed O (at Dline coach)
Frank Wilson
Austin Thomas
Dave Aranda
Corey Raymond
D Craig
Adam Henry
Ron Cooper
John Chavis
Jeff Grimes

Negatives
Cam Cameron
Bradley Del Peveto (twice)
Kevin Steele (Joe handicapped him here, he said Aranda was the target)
Brick Haley

Alleva

Positives
Beth Torina

Negatives
Ed O (at head coach, he may end up being a positive, but the search was done in haste and with too much emotion.)
Johnny Jones
Trent Johnson
Nikki Caldwell

Please let me know if I'm missing anyone, I will edit and add if so.

les was such a negative for the football program, I dont want him anywhere around LSU.

Not saying Alleva is the answer, but never les.

While I know the rants favorite past time is shitting on Les, I think he'd actually make a good AD. He always made great hires and not to mention his eye for spotting talent.

Regardless, it can't get any worse than what Alleva has done making hires.

I would worry that he would still control the offensive playbook.

I wouldn't even want Les as the school's janitor. Keep his arse far away from LSU. There are plenty of AD options, not named Les.

I agree but that's not the question. Les or Joe? Kind of like would you rather be punched in the nose or dick?

Apples and oranges.
Les was a better football coach than Alleva is an AD.
Les at AD would be WORSE than Alleva.

11 years at LSU
11 Bowl Games
2 SEC championships
2 National Championship appearances
1 National Championship
Winning percentage of 77%

You can certainly name some negatives (which is why he no longer has a job), but to say "Les was such a negative for the football program" shows a very narrow view of history.

Les is too hard headed. If a coaching change needed to happen...he has proven to not make the tough call and sticks with his comfort coach.
