All of those MLB parks listed would be, at best, 1/4 filled to capacity. The country as a whole doesn't care about college baseball at all. On the other hand, the folks in Omaha certainly do as evidenced by the large crowds year after year even without (generally) a "home" team in the tournament. Leave it there

This, Omaha in a way is designed for that tournament, it is hoppin when the CWS is in town especially when LSU makes it. I know the stadium is turned the wrong way, plays to big, doesn't have the same feel as the old place, but there isn't a much better place to watch and enjoy great baseball than Omaha, NE.

note: with the new balls the games will be more exciting this year.

Id like to see them rotate the SEC. Why not CoolRay Field(home of Gwinnett Braves) ? Atlanta suburb. Plenty of draw from a very large mix of SEC alums here in ATL. Why does everything have to be a GDAMN Gump annex?

Omaha is centrally located. They'd go nuts if it was put in sec country

Since they tore down Rosenblatt, yes. It is not the same as it was in that old stadium. They sucked all the character out of it and it could be played anywhere and be the same.

100% this, aside from Barrett's. I could not have put it better myself.

I think the poster was talking about the SECt being moved there... which could work. I've been to a couple of games in Gwinnett. I'd just like to see it actually move around! AND I'm tired of having to go to Atlanta for every conference championship in football!

The SEC has it screwed up on sooooo many levels.

I'm ok with Omaha as tradition...but frick Bama and getting the SEC tourney every year...that should be rotated among SEC schools with adequate stadiums...

This is so true I was amazed at the difference the new venue made. It will never leave Omaha though. But it will cause me pause from going again. My first 4 of 5 trips were very memorable and I'll prob leave it at that......

San Diego and Phoenix

Phoenix in June? Nah. Omaha is a good spot. San Diego would also be good but it would have to work around the Padre's schedule. Colorado would be great, as well.

I wonder if the minor league ball parks in Sacramento and SLC have enough capacity?
