I think its a cool idea, especially since they moved to the new stadium, which I am not a big fan of.

I've never been, but heard the old character was awesome. That being said if our team goes this year and tries to hit singles and "dingas" instead of swinging for the fences we might win and our fans will like the new stadium a lot more.

Since they tore down Rosenblatt, yes. It is not the same as it was in that old stadium. They sucked all the character out of it and it could be played anywhere and be the same.

amen. it's like moving the masters from augusta and expecting it to be the same.

Omaha has a long contract with the NCAA. I know the stadium sucks but Omaha is one of the best cities to host a sporting event like that. I don't know if there is a baseball stadium that can be used that would be good as Omaha.

I think it should stay in Omaha, but I'll never understand how the city of Omaha, the NCAA, etc allowed the Ameritrade to be built as such a sterile, piece of garbage.

Sterile. Garbage.

Not a big fan of Ameritrade, but the Series is Omaha's thing and they do it very well.

They could displace minor league teams but I'm not sure how many minor league teams have a stadium nice enough to host it.

Omaha is nice, but the new stadium ain't the same. Glad I saw it before they tore it down.

Love Omaha!...but HATE that piece of garbage ballpark downtown. It allowed a fraud like UCLA to win the title. I think there were only three HRs last year. Tear it down and start over!

Regarding other cities...I would eliminate San Diego. It's likely the worst major sports city in the country. The Chargers have always sucked. The Padres have always sucked. They lost two NBA teams (Clippers & Rockets) due to lack of support. The city had to guarantee ticket sales for the Chargers and they'll likely lose them due to the condition of their stadium.

Other than getting lucky with Marshall Faulk, San Diego State has always sucked in sports as well.

You likely wouldn't get much support there. Keep it in Omaha but correct the crappy ballpark.

I tell you what we damn sure need to move: the SEC Tournament! It's in a shite park, in a shite town, in a shite state! The damned gumps get to be the home team every damned year!

The new ballpark is facing the wrong direction and the outfield wall needs to come in 20 ft. Not many places to play it as you need 20,000 seats to hold the crowd.

I don't think it should change, but I would try Oklahoma City or Memphis if I did try somewhere else

I would like to see the designers of the new stadium sit on it and rotate.

After 2013 I swore I would not return to TD until something changed. The ball has changed, I'll be back this year.

I prefer same venue concept and Omaha is a good heart of the country location. I'd vote to keep it there but make sure the park is hitable and interesting. The new ball will get us closer and may be enough.

All of those MLB parks listed would be, at best, 1/4 filled to capacity. The country as a whole doesn't care about college baseball at all. On the other hand, the folks in Omaha certainly do as evidenced by the large crowds year after year even without (generally) a "home" team in the tournament. Leave it there

This. The historic parks like Chicago, Fenway and New York don't have competitive college baseball teams in the area.
