I would take him as HC but he likely will be at another Power 5 school in 2021, maybe Tennessee.

This is pure revisionism. Good coach, good offensive philosophy, relentless recruiter. But he coached himself out of plenty of games at Ole Miss and lost many games he shouldn't have. People also just forget how terrible they were in 2016.
People remember the Alabama games (which were the flukiest games i've ever seen) and forget all the bad shite. Had they just beaten Memphis and Arkansas they would've made the college football playoff.

O hired freeze at ole miss if it wasn’t for O’s ability to evaluate coaching he might still be a HS coach. Hugh owes him one to say the least.
