I don't think so. They started about the 40 and they had been starting on average in the 30s so I don't think we gave up a whole lot.

with the score being 9-6, i would have simply just kicked it and played the "field position" battle.

Why don't we ever throw the fade to RR? Lee showed last year he can throw it where it needs to be consistently...

Also, the 3rd and 6 run call instead of going for the TD when we were up by 10.

Our WR's were owning their DB's by then, it should have been 6 on the board and put the game away.

Again, on regular kickoff coverage, they were starting their drives on approximately the 35 yard line. We are talking 5-10 yeards here. It's not like LSU had been pinning them inside the 25 all night. The Risk/Reward factor warranted this kick IMO.

the onside kick call was a great call. We were giving them the ball on the 35 every time. We would have lost 5 yards, had a chance to gain a possession, and prevented their kick returner from having a shot at a td

the fullback dive from the 6 was just a stupid play call. That is a short yardage play at its best

i didn't have a problem with playing for the field goal at that point. NO WAY were they going to score 2 TDs on us in the 4th.

I thought we should have done the onside kick again the next time, no one expects it twice in a row

The onside kick was a good call. There was a huge hole there. Unfortunately, this was the one instance all night where the kicker kicked it too hard.

the quick FB dive play needs to be thrown away. They've tried it 3-4 times this year for a total of maybe 1 yard. That play died when Jacob Hester left. Give it up.

I agree with the idea that we were giving them the ball at the 35 anyway. And a few returns looked like they could have gone for more. Might as well try it.

But the FB dive, to my knowledge, has been run twice this year for -3 yards. And against 9 in the box? Should have never been called, or Lee should have audibled out of it.

Solid play-calling and offensive gameplan, except in the redzone. I'm not sure what needs to change (maybe more passes on first done in the RZ as suggested by beeRye?), but we can't count on field goals.

I also would've liked to see us take a shot on some of those second-and-shorts. It's frustrating to see a second and 3 turn into third and 2.

Agree with the FB run call. Get rid of it.

execution was terrible but i can't knock the call if it woulda worked les woulda been a genius

I agree with this. It was just not run very well. Lee seemed to be tripping over himself.
