Overall, I thought Coach Stud's play calling was great.

Only one that left me was the FB draw/dive against a goalline D on second down. Cost us a TD IMO.

Other than that, I was all

I was miffed by that call as well. Other than that, I think he called a very solid game.

any play call in the red zone kind of sucked. the whole world knew we were going run, run, pass

Agreed. Rip that out of the play book, please.

some times you out-think yourself, no point in getting cute at that spot when your backs had gotten yardage the entire drive

How was the onside a bad call? It came at an unexpected time and its not like our Special teams was pinning them inside of the 30 anyways

Was just thinking about that. Terrible call IMO.

I disagree I thought that was a pretty good call there, trying to slip on pass the D.

I thought Stud called a great game, much better than that dipshit over the last few years.

Yeah, I was a little confused by that call. Overall, I have been pleasantly surprised with Stud.

That call really didn't irk me too much. Without the penalty, they would have had the ball around the 40? Hell, we were giving them the ball on the 35 during the normal kickoffs.

execution was terrible but i can't knock the call if it woulda worked les woulda been a genius. The way our d was playing losing the gamble would not cost much he figured. good call imo

I thought this during the game, but after thinking about it, their returner was pretty close to breaking one all night. If they saw a hole in the return they thought could get them a cheap possession, why not go for it? The field position wasn't much worse than they had gotten from returns all night, and our D is good enough to stop them from moving for the most part.

I don't think so. They started about the 40 and they had been starting on average in the 30s so I don't think we gave up a whole lot.

We also ran a delayed counter/draw for a loss twice that needs to be removed from the playbook, as well.

Our RB's are fast and hit the hole hard. Against SEC defenses, we're just shooting ourselves in the foot to show run, wait 2 seconds and then hand off for a run. Just a poorly designed play.
