hey. ole miss puts up points on everyone, even mighty Alabama.

our defense will still play well. of course we'll have to score to win. I think we'll be up for it.

Bama allowed 43 points. They will score, we need to be able to control TOP like we did in the Mizzou game to limit their opportunities.

Aranda has them playing better every week, with regards to scoring defense. We've also limited big plays. Ole Miss is a big challenge, for sure, but if our offense does its part to keep the defense off the field, I think we can win in a convincing fashion - meaning 13 to 17 points in our favor wouldn't shock me.

Jefferson being out may hurt, as he was our best cover safety. However, DB depth isn't something we've had to worry about in a long time.

Also this is a game that Tolliver needs to use his height and size to make a difference for the defense

Tolliver needed another year under his belt before starting. But will be a star none the less.

BAMA and LSU are different teams.

Ole Miss runs 80 plays a game. Their D is garbage and worn down in the second half.

This will be when LSU controls the tempo and clock with our badass running game.

LSU will win this

Unit has gotten better every week, making adjustments almost after every drive, and I don't believe Aranda 'has shown' everything in the cupboard to recent opponents.

I would expect a punishing DEF this Sat night. Pressure, pressure, and more pressure with Key, Bower, Neal and Godchaux getting a lot of reps as 4-man DL. LB's will come on selective plays, Beck is going to have a HUGE game. DB's are going to come up to the line and challenge Kelly and the OM receivers to beat them. I think we match up VERY well against teams like OM and TAM. More worried about the pound/ground Bama and Ark types, that can also throw the ball when needed...AKA like WISC did. Grant it that was the first game, and we have learned and adjusted. I think we keep them under 20 points, unless they get some garbage points at the end... LSU wins by 13, GT!!!

LSU is gonna miss Rickey Jefferswag this weekend. I hope Kevin Tolliver is on his A game.

Our defensive stats say that LSU is one of the top defenses in the country. I just don't see it.

I am not worried about it. I view it as a great opportunity to showcase what they can do. They need to step up and I have full confidence that Aranda will have them equal to the task. The must not have any 'blown' coverage and get pressure on Kelly.

I don't care if Ole Miss scores 30 points as long as LSU scores 31 or more!!!

If we play man to man and bring pressure we'll be fine.

Play man to man like Missouri and we hold OleMiss to 17 points or fewer.

Jefferson was good in run support but has never been good in coverage. Please.

I believe it will be a coming out party for this defense. I also think LSU is going to make a big statement. Jmo.

Me too. 6 games, 6 TDs allowed. I don't see that changing. I give Ole Miss a TD and 2 FGs. We are averaging 43.5 points per game under Ensminger. Ole Miss' defense sucks. I don't see that changing.

LSU 45, Ole Miss 13

And because of the blowout, the over/under on the number of "why did people leave the Ole Miss game early" threads next week is 84.

You're dead fricking wrong, there's nfl talent all over our defense.

I'd give them one more td and us one less

so LSU 38 , Ole miss 20

Our defense is good, but this will be the best QB we face all season

we still dominate
