re: Will we see an outpouring of fan support this weekend similar to aTm game 2015?

A lot of the fan support for Les that game was more of a farewell and thanks for the 10 (mostly) successful seasons

That's why I clapped for him. I think most people assumed he was out the door so we were thanking him for a pretty good ride. Not clapping in support to keep him around.

A true LSU football fan supporting Les Miles at this point is like a Jew supporting Hitler in 1940. They are either naive beyond belief or mentally damaged

Hey it was at the end of the game when the decision had supposedly had already been made

Plus it was my last game in the student section and I got a chant echoing throughout the stadium. I was pretty proud with myself

On a serious note though, this is probably the biggest reason I think Miles needs to move on this season. Without a drastic change, he has effectively eroded any benefit of the doubt he used to get. When things start off slow, there is no calming feeling in the stadium that the ship will be righted - there is pure panic and the overwhelming feeling of "here we go again." That is infectious to the players too. The positive momentum seems to be fleeting and no one can wait to pile on when things start to go south.

I know this is hard for you to believe, but sometimes what is good for Les Miles is good for LSU. If Miles wins out, so to does LSU. Crazy, I know, but the truth nonetheless.

So you'd be ok with winning out and still firing Les afterward?

Because there is such a thing as outtalenting your coaching.

And next year that will be gone along with Fournette and a host of other studs.

How the hell could some use the words "LSU" and "winning out" in the same sentence

Huh?

Think of the implications that winning out would have. If LSU wins out it means that Miles has changed for good.

I'm not suggesting this is realistic, but the point is that Miles's fortunes are still tied to LSU's season at this point, so until that changes, I wish the absolute best for both of them.

If you're too dumb to know how to save a picture to your iPad/iPhone without having to take a screenshot of a picture to save to your iPad/iPhone, I automatically discount every thing you say, as you have proven to be an idiot.

You notice it's mostly women holding those signs?

Most women could give a shite about the game. They probably prefer the music city bowl bc it's in Nashville to a playoff berth in Nola bc they "go there all the time"

I can't tell you the last time a woman in my family could name more than 3 players on the team

Women can't differentiate between emotion and football. Hence all those signs.

Some people just don't have the stomach to do what needs to be done.

80-90% of the love Les got before the A&M game last year came from fans thanking him for the success he had brought to the program during his tenure. I think most people accepted it was time to move on, but wanted to acknowledge what he had done for LSU football, and rightfully so. Very few people were pleading for the administration to retain him.

I have a feeling it's going to get ugly this weekend if the offense struggles early on, which it probably will.

...and when he stayed, it was like that person who overstays their welcome at a party

This.

Most of the signs and sentiment at the A&M game was of the "thanks for the memories" variety, not an outpouring of a desire for him to stay.

The media turned the narrative around.
