Will the team be flat for this bowl game?

With low ticket sales and most eyes on recruiting, sure hope the team does not come out flat with that "we don't want to be here" feel. It would be great to come out swinging and punch these guys in the mouth and squash Iowa like a superior talented team should. A fourth consecutive 10 win season would be strong.

It's things like this that concern me about our team.
I sure hope LSU doesn't come out flat. They should be privileged to play in this bowl after our regular season performance.
If they play like they don't want to be there, it is no one's fault but their own. If they believe they belong in a BCS bowl then hopefully they will play like it and absolutely destroy Iowa for 60 minutes.
Not some 1st half 'assessment' then 2nd half comeback.

I find for the last 2 seasons the Tigers play just like the mood of the Rant towards the game. Hopefully they will want to perform with the new QB

A couple of reasons not to be flat... New QB should be excited to play. Timing may be off but energy should be there. Also many young faces will be playing on defense - I would expect that to translate to energy on the defensive side.
I believe playing for 10 wins is a bigger goal for the players than we put value on it here on the Rant. This team is already looking to project into next season and the best way to do that is to win and win big!

I hope the start of the Jennings Era and the chance at another 10 win season will bring back the intensity that they had against Johnny Football...

The team doesn't buy tickets. And i am sure they are way more focused on playing than recruiting.

not only the past couple of years. the team usually feels the same as most people about the excitement of a particular opponent, or game. it doesn't matter what CLM tells them during the week to try and prepare them, he can't change how they feel.

Hopefully they're past the entitlement thought process being that they haven't been performing well in bowl games.
