Improving on the shitty food options couldn't hurt. $6.00 for a boiled manda sausage in a hot dog bun. Other fine options include stale tortilla chips with crappy fake cheese and sunflower seeds!!

of course it will the beer drinkers will be able to keep their buzz the entire game...

Really? Well it's there...Don't go to the suites or stadium club with that attitude...

They did sell beer in Houston and that was a big mistake. Cops made them stop selling alcohol at half time. Over 400 arrests and majority of them cause LSU fans were fighting with their own fan base.
That is complete bullshite. I was there and they were selling beer well into the 4th qtr. I was at the stadium all day and did not see one police/fan altercation. I saw one cellphone video of a fight on TD and that was it. I don't know where you got this 400 arrests stuff. There may have been arrests up in Midtown where LSU fans hit the bars all day and night... many of those folks did not go to the game.
Also makes me wonder how every professional baseball, basketball, football, and hockey game sells beer and hard liquor and somehow manages it but college venues cant handle it...

Nope. They will still drive home toxic or not.

It would make me stay longer. So there is one vote for yes.

Not having games won by halftime would help more

I don't think any significant number leave a game because they want more beer, especially if the game itself remains worth watching.
But I do think it possible that some may stay longer during a mediocre game if they can enjoy a decent cold beer (though they'd likely be forced to accept something less).
The question is whether a few butts in the seats for a bit longer, plus the dump trucks full of money to be made for the athletic dept, would be worth whatever changes would result in the remaining game-day experience, good or bad, be there any.
I suspect the changes would be a net for the worse, and I never go to an LSU game at which I intend to be drinking, which is most, without a strong bourbon and coke for the walk to the stadium, and a large flask on my person.
I also ask these:
What motivation does the ath dept have to keep people at he stadium longer? does it benefit the ath dept in any tangible way? Other than concessions?
Are there practical advantages, perhaps, to a crowd that mills out thinly vs one that gushes out onto campus all at once? traffic?
Heck the ticket got sold either way.
If keeping butts in the seats is in fact a goal of the ath dept, and if it is used in the rationale for deciding to sell beer/alch, doesn't that actually concede that the product on the field is inadequate? And they're hoping to get us too drunk to notice, rather than fix the problem?

No, the dumbest move ever would be selling beer in there.

Yeah, the concessions aren't very good. Boiled manda sausage on a hot dog bun made me
