Will Miles' ego allow him to hire Orgeron as DL coach?

Or will Skip's former puppet fill his staff with more puppets until we get Dinardoed yet again?

DiNardo turned down Rich Rodriguez as OC to promote Bob McConnell due to ego. Can Miles see past his ego to make the best moves possible for LSU? I doubt it.

I honestly believe that he will blow the Orgeron deal unless Alleva and/or Verge lean on him heavily. It will be unexcusable to not give this guy the DC line coach and recruiting job. Period.

DiNardo knew Rodriguez would never stay long, so he tried to make more of a "long term" hire and it backfired on him.

That's the dumbest argument ever. We don't want someone who is really good because he might only be here four to five years. In that case we shouldn't have hired Crowton, Saban, Pelini. Let's just keep hiring middle of the road type guys and see how that works for us.

Sadly, I agree. Miles is going to wait for Lane to go somewhere else, and by that time, Orgeron will have gotten tired of waiting on the call and gone to UT with Kiffin.

Then over the next few years, we not only get to have Saban be a pain in our arse but UT as well, which typically hasn't come into LA and been a problem for us.

Didn't you also say that Miles would name himself offensive coordinator or hire a puppet because of his "huge ego"? And then Miles hired Crowton and produced the best offensive season in LSU history.

This is a banal question. Do you have any evidence at all that Orgeron is even the least bit interested in being at LSU?

O would be a great hire because of his DL coaching, & recruiting ability...What's the deal with Pete Jenkins, I thought he'd shown some interest in coaching again?

Did you post solid evidence that O is asking for job at LSU? Because, if you did I simply missed it.

Do you really need me to post articles from the home page of this website? It would explain things.

Verge doesnt have the juice to pressure Les. I like the hell outta Verge, but he is not Alleva.

Coach Jenkins is a phenominal person and coach, but his day here is past. Orgeron is the D-line coach we want/need.

the fact that rantards are to this day defending DiNardo hiring McConnell over Rich Rod says all you need to know.

You say "we want" as in Coach Miles or the board?
