Side note: Ole Miss hasn't worn navy against LSU since 2007. Why do I know this? Because I'm weird
That's because LSU struggles against red teams.
Think about it... Bama, Arkansas, Ole Miss, Wisconsin, Georgia (2013) --- need I continue?

OMG, now I know why people leave. The "new" fans have no sense of tradition or true love of LSU. You would rather us play in the sunbelt conf., throw every down, where a new shifty uniform every week, and leave early to party. I am beginning to understand.

Who beat is wearing them last year?????
Posted on 10/19/16 at 6:28 am to BugaPainTrain7
NOT. THOSE. WHITE HELMETS. The white pants and jerseys with the old gold helmets - like the Arkansas game when Patrick Peterson and Chad Jones played - would be best.

I really don't care what they wear as long as they win......

How about LSU dresses out looking like LSU?
Thank you.

Can't we just do our traditional home Gold Helmets, White Jersey, and gold paints.
I hate it when schools change uniforms throughout the year. I've tolerated it the uniform changes at LSU in the past but it seems they are doing it more often and I'm not crazy about it.
LSU has always been non-traditional in wearing white jerseys at home. Lets keep it.
The constant uniform changes of TCU, Oregon, OSU, and some of the non-powerhouse schools tend to do this more to draw attention or something. Bama, UT, tOSU, UM, USC, etc don't do this stuff. LSU is in those ranks, we should act like the big boy schools and keep our uniforms consistent.

Pretty sure Michigan and Ohio St. have done alt uniforms.

ESPN votes LSU Unis best in SEC
SEC: LSU
"There are several good choices in the SEC, but we on the SEC blog went with LSU's white jerseys with the gold (or yellow, more accurately) helmet and pants. Alabama's look (particularly the helmet) is definitely a classic and worthy of consideration, but there's something about the Tigers, who got an exception to the NCAA's "must wear color at home" uniform rule granted in 1995 when then-head coach Gerry DiNardo was determined to restore their uniform tradition. Maybe it's because they've played so many memorable games on Saturday nights in Death Valley wearing that particular uniform (when at home, they now only wear whites for the home opener or SEC games), maybe it's the fierce Tiger head under the letters L-S-U on the side of the helmet or the purple-and-gold stripes on each shoulder, but the Tigers' whites are appealing to us. "
Smh as to why we keep wearing alt uniforms when we have the best in the SEC and, to others, one of the best in the nation in our gold/white/gold. Just another deviation from the traditional game day experience in TS.

That's right. Saban was being told on the recruiting trail...by recruits...that they disliked wearing one uniform all the time. This was long before Oregon's shite show of a uniform parade. they were simply telling the guy that they didn't want to wear gold/white/gold EVERY GAME of their careers. "
Funny...Saban can talk about recruits wanting different looks, but Alabama wearing the same unis year in and year out doesn't seem to keep him from bringing in #1 recruiting classes every year.

Anything less than traditional gold pants, white shirts, and yellow helmets would be SWACish.

Desperate programs desperate to get noticed do the multiple uniform thing. Traditional winning programs (which is before 2003 Skippy) don't need to have people pay attention to them people pay attention to them because they are a traditional power (Over 70 years Skippy)

No. A pretty cool change of pace every now and again. But give me gold-white-gold for an ole miss home game, thanks

LSU needs to redeem them after that garbage performance last year.

I hate to break it to some of you, but LSU does not wear "gold" with their current "traditional" unis.
Posted on 10/19/16 at 8:51 am to BugaPainTrain7
No! LSU needs to wear the gold lids, white jerseys, gold pants. Ole Miss needs to wear navy lids (even though I love the powder blues), red jerseys, and grey pants. Best two uniform combos on the same field!

Threads like this are prime example why I always say posters should have to give their age, race and education level in order to participate in a thread.
