I stand corrected. I apologize. However there has been quite a few others that have described it that way. That way of thinking is a total joke to use dukke v's words.

Just pointing out that he didn't win right away there's a big difference between 11-2 and 6-6 but if you're going to say so and so won with other ppls players you need to investigate as to how many of those players were on the field for the new coach. In miles case it was quite a lot of sabans guys.

Miles inherited 30+ pros from Saban I'm not 100% sure but I'm pretty sure Saban didn't inherit that from Shula.

On WFAN sports radio today columnist Peter King was a guest and he was of the opinion that even if LSU won the SEC championship game, the selection committee would want Sabin's Bama team in there because of brand recognition, along with urban Meyer at Ohio State should they defeat Michigan

Keep clinging to that point, like it's worth anything. Miles won his own championship, Saban had very little to do with it. Your melt is glorious though.

That's neither here nor there as far as I'm concerned. Miles won his NC in his third season at LSU. Saban recruited some of the players that were on that 2007 team, but he had next to nothing to do with winning that championship.

In 2007, LSU went to the National Championship game and won. Three years after saban bolted Baton Rough. The first year that Miles was here, LSU only signed something like 13 players, that would have been sabans last recruiting class before he left. Not all of those 13 scholarships awarded in 2005 were due to sabans recruiting.

So this horseshite of Miles winning with sabans players is just that, horseshite.

You do realize that Flynn and a bunch of others were 5th year redshirts? Saban recruited and coached about 90% of the players who saw action in the 07 game. Look I'm proud of the 07 team I'm an lsu tiger fan I have been for over 30 years I don't get these ppl who grew up watching miles that hate on everything other than what happened while he was here. It's like yal think it's a reflection of you're generation of fan or something.

Sure he gets one. Let's just get there first, then worry about if he gets one.

I'm proud of the 07 team as well, not to mention every team for the past 50+ years. Good teams and bad teams.

I'm ten days shy of turning 60 years old, so I'm not hating on nothing going all the way back to Charlie Mac in the early to mid sixties. What I don't get, is people who want to hate on everything that's happened the past 11 years. I appreciate what saban did for LSU while he was here, but he didn't want to stay in Baton Rough. So screw him, that's my attitude.

So for the past 11+ seasons, I've supported Les Miles, his coaching staff and his teams. Now my support is for Orgeron and his coaching staff. If he gets the job full time, good for him. If not, I'll support whoever is hired. Obviously, not everyone feels the same way I do. All the anti Miles threads and posts prove that.

Well maybe you can answer this question. Charlie Mack era fans have no problem admitting that arnsparger and Saban were better and had the program in better shape. But miles fans shite on everything that didn't involve miles. Why is that?

Miles can get a championship ring, but he has to give up his buyout, Deal?

Otherwise I will go with the "The state is strapped for money so we can't afford extra rings" which is the SAME EXACT REASON he didn't get fired last year.

I haven't seen where anybody has "shite on everything that didn't involve Miles." I'm not saying that it hasn't happened, but I haven't noticed it. What I have seen is people trying to point out that Miles had a successful 11 year career at LSU, and have attempted to defend that fact.

That doesn't take away anything that saban accomplished while he was here, but there are some that would like everyone to believe that when saban left LSU, it was a top 5 program (it wasn't) and Miles showed up and didn't do diddly squat.

Saban had double digit wins 2 years out of 5. Miles had 7 out of 11. And if the season opener last year hadn't of been cancelled, he more than likely would have won 10 games last year to make that 8 out of 11. There are also people that like to claim that Miles padded his win total with weak OOC games, but saban did the same thing while he was here. shite, every power 5 program in America schedules weak OOC games.

Saban did good while he was here, so has Miles. So I guess you have people that are going to defend Miles time at LSU and there are some that don't want to give him credit for winning 114 games while he was the coach. It is what it is.

We'll I've seen multiple ppl say the sec was shite when Saban was here and sabans record sucked when he was here. So it's happened in this thread weather you've noticed or not is not your responsibility. But it happens a lot when the 2 coaches are compared. I don't like talking about les I wish I could forget most of his time here I just can't stand by while ppl idolize him.
