So it isn't true Saban won as many Nattys and sec titles in less than half the time here? Poor delusional miles fans you're the reason sec fans say the things they say about our fan base.

Miles was here a lot longer... Nice try though... And don't get me started on what Saban did as far as facilities and shite. He put LSU back on the national scene. Miles did a great job of keeping it there. Until the last four years. Mediocre at best with the talent he had to work with.

Sure Saban won with Gerrys recruits. I have never said he didn't.every new coach who wins right away does it with someone else's players.

But but but winpct lol. Doesnt matter that he padded it with fcs schools and the only reason his winning pct is higher than Saban and arnspargers was because he had longer seasons and extra rent a wins. Sabans record vs top 5 teams at lsu is 4-2 67% miles is 7-8 47%. The fact is we won because of Saban and in spite of les.

I have never said Miles was a better coach here. IMO Saban was a better coach here than Miles. I don't care what the records say. There is more to football than just wins and losses.....

The SEC Conference was a completely different animal when saban was coaching compared to Miles. In saban' 5 seasons, only one SEC team made the title game, LSU in 2003. During Miles 11 years, 10 SEC schools made the title game, winning the championship 9 times.

The strength of the conference was completely different. No one can argue against that fact.

I agree with this... The SEC is way stronger now. Too bad Saban isn't coaching LSU to all those championships HERE instead of at Bama. To say Miles is a better coach than Saban ANYWHERE is a total joke.

Of course he would. This is his team

Did Nick Saban get a LSU national championship ring from 2007?

Everybody knows that was Nick Saban's team.

Completely different way of selecting who played for Nattys during sabans era. LSU 13-1 Uga 13-1 didn't play for a natty auburn 14-0 didn't play for a natty so no the sec was just as good the sec has always been the best conf in college football it's just now that titles Arnt decided by sports writers the sec wins a lot more.

I haven't seen where anybody is saying Miles is a better coach than saban. Not that someone hasn't said it, I just haven't seen it. The thing that most of the people are arguing about, is that posters like you, madking the past few pages and others continue to call the past 11 years a failure or medicore. For crying out loud, the man won 114 games at LSU.

Miles had a rough stretch of games starting last November thru this years Auburn game. No one with any sense would argue that. But some of the people that continue to bash Miles seem to have forgotten that LSU started out 7-0 last year before the team fell apart.

He should have been replaced at the end of last year. I was certain that after the way the end of last season played out, it would be an uphill battle to stay afloat this year. That being said. Miles had a very successful coaching career at LSU and anyone that disputes that is a total joke.

Never used the words failure or mediocre. I'd say he underachieved is the best way to describe it.

That would be Cams 2nd championship ring in a season that he was fired mid season.

So the only year that the previous coach's players count is the first year? Be careful, you're about to frick up your "Miles won with Saban's players" narrative.

The BCS was in place from 1999 until 2013. What's the fricking difference?

Uh...No. The SEC hasn't always been the best conference in football. It has been for the past 10 years, but not always.
