#15 is mediocre. We should be shooting for top 5-10.

Your immaturity on the other hand isn't refreshing at all. I don't know why I thought you were a more seasoned poster. Oh well.

Dont argue with the sunshine pumpers, theyre in denial and have drank the kool aid. Let the rose colored glasses folks have their say, remember they suffered through Dinardo and before then and blah blah fricking blah, are so fricking afraid of change and are just as content now with the program and the direction were going as they were when we were terrible. Its ok to be loyal to a coach but he is not bigger than the program. At least be realistic about the programs continuous trend of shortcomings sunshine pumpers....you know who those shortcomings and mistakes are falling on right?

I think this was the killer. Mack Brown refused to go quietly and threw a tantrum. He had big money friends who supported him and he was able to hang around and make it messy enough to torpedo the Saban deal. He just didn't want to give it up and he didn't want Saban to come in and show him up. And Texas was weak enough to allow it.

You have no idea what you're talking about. Lsu has approximately 20 top 15 finishes. Stop shitting on your programs accomplishments.im sure the players that sacrificed for those to 15 finishes would appreciate it. Good god. I hate our ignorant and entitled fan base.

Michigan did, osu did, Notre dame did and those programs are doing fine because of it.

Let's let Harbaugh's personality wear for a few years before we deem that a success, but after how many attempts for Michigan? I'm sure they though DickRod was a home run. OSU is somewhat of a mess right now.

It's time for lsu to make a change at head coach. That doesn't mean we have to shite on our program's accomplishments. If we get Jimbo, I'll be happy. He is a better coach than Miles imo.

true...I don't think you need to pay a coach 4 mil a yr to lose 3 or 4 games a season... you can get one a lot cheaper than that...

This!!!

I've vehemently defended Les for years, but the trajectory of our program is blatantly obvious and it's not good. We need to make a change before we slip further and further down.

They're critical of the firing because paying $16million to replace him with a guy who most likely won't have a better record at LSU is fricking stupid.

fricking. Stupid. You people are being blasted because you're stupid people.

And I hate fans that are content with getting our asses kicked by ole miss arky and bama and too afraid of failing to do anything about it.

You know why the big money people have 15 mill to toss around for the buyout? Because they have balls and aren't afraid to take calculated risks to better themselves.

I suffered through the Dinardo years. Completely different situation. A stingy LSU not willing to invest in coaches or facilities. 3 or 4 losses was ok given that measuring stick and you fired the coach when it was 6 or 7 losses.

Game is raised now because of the investment.

For sure. There is no excuse for losing to arky 2 years in a row. I mean they are beating us at our own game (ground and pound) with far far far less talent.

Here's your problem. You falsely identify with the team. You make the team's loss your loss, so you come up with irrational solutions like coming up with $16million to hire a guy who won't do as well as Miles.

Rick, it has everything to do with the buyout. Board gave Mikes a huge deal in 12'. He's done absolutely nothing since to demonstrate that it was a good deal for the program. They should be f#%#ing pissed off!! You should be pissed off!!

Nope, you just have a love affair with Miles.

Florida has been at it's best with an offensive genius at the helm to utilize that crazy talent in Florida. The two guys they got were former DCs and 1st time HCs.

Zook faired better but still mediocre.

Muschamp crashed and burned because he didn't know what the hell offense was.
