They think LSU being a perennial 3 or 4 loss team is ok. They believe we have a natural ceiling and shouldn't complain.

I say screw that and risk it all. Things can't get much worse than being trampled at home at night. At worst, you're still irrelevant.

Just the players and being LSU wins about 6 games a year alone.

I'm tired of being whooped by the likes of fat frick Bert and having bowl opponents dry fist us without even the benefit of a courtesy spit.

Do it. Let's make a move.

Why would we worry about what media says is good for us?

That's the most inane point I've seen people make here.

They're probably not all that critical of the firing itself but this has to be one of the more disorganized goatrodeos in recent memory.

Not quite Auburn going to visit Bobby Petrino disorganized but still not as clean as one would expect.

Les Miles isn't exactly an awful guy, so a lot of the national people look for reasons to why the program has been declining instead of just looking at the top.

Some years maybe. I bet UF said the same thing though. Then they went 4-8. And people wanted that coach at LSU.

So maybe the media is right and our fans are actually freaking delusional.

It's because he says cute things in the media and he's built up a lot of fans from other teams who really like him.

From a coaching standpoint, there really isn't a lot of things he's doing correctly right now. His offensive woes can be traced all the way back to 2008. His 2 best offensive years with Zach Mettenberger still had a lot of head scratching moments on offense.

I agree, and frick of course the media will try to play everyone's heart strings leaving out the convenient fact that the program has been slipping alot since 2012 and showed some signs in seasons before that. Our records show that the past 3 yeats. Miles stubborness and nepotism for hiring buddies, staying loyal to them and refusing to change and adapt to an ever changing college football game is the reason he is here. I mean come on if Saban hired Kiffin to change and adapt his offense, why couldnt Miles get with the program as well?? I like the guy but this is a damm business, leave the tissues home. Its results driven, are we paying him top 10 pay a year for the product weve been getting and the abomination that was 1/09/2012? Folks need to lead with their head not their heart in this matter. He is a great ambassador for LSU and the state but hes letting the program slide significantly while looking clueless behind the wheel. He has no one to blame but himself and the cruise control for this.

He's had several years to solve the issues that are keeping the team from winning championships and hasn't been able to do that, but the program hasn't "slid significantly".

It's too soon to tell what the folks in charge are leading with, we'll have to wait to see what the next staff looks like.

fricking this right here. Miles was nesting. He thought he had secured this job for the next decade and wanted to be with his buddies and emulate the schembechler offense.

No. We won't have it.

Yeah, people keep saying that while saying at the same time that the only thing Miles is good at is recruiting.

How do you know this? Maybe let it play out first and keep in mind LSU has been silent.

are you saying that what has gone down to this point hasn't been a complete embarrassment for the program?

If you look up Fat and Happy in the dictionary, a picture of Les Miles there.

I like Les Miles, but I'll always have the impression that he got complacent and abused his buyout for job security.

Assuming we get Jimbo, no one with two neurons functioning in unison should be critical of the firing.

Riddle me this, which program has had to replace as much NFL talent as much as Les Miles and LSU.
