So the more we pay for a coach the better our season should be??? I agree Les makes a ton of money and has had a bad year. But I also think based on the law of averages there has to be a few bad years spattered amongst the good ones. We had a lot go right for us last year just like every once in a while a lot can go wrong. It just feels like everyone is jumping ship and we aren't even close to sunk!

we should expect average bc we are LSU never mind how much money we pump in now and the fact we are on the top.

This is good thread and the guy had a good post to offer perspective on the past. You maniacs who hijacked this thread are immature and fail to understand that great organizations, teams, occaisionlly need to re-group for the next charge. We all want to stay a TOP 1 to 5 program every year. However, some of the zealots on this board don't understand that we were NEVER GREAT under Charlie McClendon. Les has to make big changes and I think he will. For the idiots that say FIRE HIM, then you don't understand that what coach in the world would want to coach LSU -if we fire a guy one year from the NC, nor do you understand that LSU (your tax payer dollars) will have to pay him $15 MILLION DOLLARS to LEAVE not counting what we have to pay a new coach. Errh, we are kinda in a federal and state economic crises also.

no this thread is terrible its saying we should accept being average bc that is what LSU has been for most years.
I fricking understand you cant win the sec and nc every fricking year but also 7-5 and losing the team is not acceptable. 3-5 in the sec is not acceptable and is a horrid fricking year for the current level for the program.
we have problems and if they get fixed in the offseason all is well, if not then heat is on. IMO problems are fixed and les gets back on everyones good side

You people are such freakin tards to be so critical of "TRUE" fans such as adaters and others. How can ya'll be so critical of a team barely ranked in the top 40 paying a coach almost 4 mil a year to run the program into the ground.
I say we should get together and demand that NONE of the staff gets fired and give all around pay raises and a peach bowl bonus. Hell lets go ahead and bump Miles up to around 4.25 mil because next year he will win it all.

There is a HUGE difference in "re-grouping" and watching the team completely regress and melt down at the end of the season. Great teams that re-group will grow and improve together. So, based on what you saw, is our "next charge" next season? Or are you hoping that Miles makes some wholesale changes and actually hires someone competent at DC. And the DC is only a part of the problem. We lack discipline and our offense was shitty as well.
