I think what Adaters is trying to get at is that we should be positive about our team. Sure, things could be a lot better. Generally, if you look from a long-term prospective, you will make a better decision.
Look at what happened to Nebraska. They fired Frank Solich after going 9-3 in 2003(58-19 career). AD Steve Pederson said the day he introduced Bill Callahan as Coach "I will not let this program run itself in to mediocrity."
Callahan ran the program into the ground including going 5-6 the next year.

In 2003 LSU asked it's fans to step up and support higher ticket prices and higher parking fees. Well LSU fans did what was asked of them. But when fans expect more for there buck, we are spoiled fans? whatever!
You know how I got my season tickets? I got to walk in the stadium and pick my south endzone seat. That's how bad this program was at one time. Sorry, I'm not paying $1000 a year for mediocre.
