You had these big money boosters willing to pay 20,000,000+ to bring in a coach, and fire a coach Who went to the national championship game twice and won one. Now you have a basketball coach who quit and embarrassed the University, probably caused irreversible damage as long as he's here. You hear nothing about A buyout. Does the boosters get a return on their investment from the football program? Does basketball not produce enough revenue to put out the millions of dollars for a buyout?
Im a LSU fan through and through from the football team to the golf team. I want LSU to succeed as a university in whole, and if I had that kind of money to put up to fire one of the most successful coaches in the LSU history, because of an embarrassing November. I would be way more concerned about the product that was put on the hardwood this season, and the blackeye the program is getting from the national media, because of what happened at the end of the year.

Hopefully they realize the odds of winning the powerball are higher than Johnny advancing in the NCAAs

A big basketball booster isn't going to do something that Dale Brown opposes. It wouldn't be much fun at basketball events if the program's most influential person hates your guts.

I don't understand this attitude. Almost the entire country cares about basketball and if you can build a solid team, guess what? It's kind of fun and you might even make a little money.

It amazes me the part of our fan base that can't cheer and root for the best interest of our basketball team. I'm an LSU fan...I hope we compete for championships in every sport.

Sigh...

March madness is a great time of year, but fricking miserable when LSU's not there.

This sucks and next year will be more of the same. fricking shame.

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. The boosters all got their hat handed to them over the football fiasco this past year and figure there's little need to even attempt the same with any other sport any time soon.

Men's BB, women's BB, both in the tank.

That's not an accident. I wish someone with money cared enough to try to change that.
