Lol, I guess you missed Brady having more tournament success than Daddy Dale.

Dale made the tournament 13 times in a 15 year span, including 10 in a row. Brady made the tournament 4 times, including 2 in a row. So yea....

FreeState nails it. CLM was not fired not because there was no money. He was kept on because King felt it would be a huge PR cluster frick to pay all that money, even though it would have been TAF money, at a time when the Legislature was raping universities across the street. Same thing with the women's BB. Fans want her gone, Alleva has gotten the word from King to simply let her contract run out next yr. As for JJ, do notice how Dale has not said one word. From several accounts, he's been working behind the scenes to protect his boy.

Because LSU is a football & baseball school, been that way for a while now, since Daddy Dale left & Skip brought the baseball program to the top.

Apparently nobody with that kind of $ cares about basketball.

Not true. Jones has done a good job staying in the good graces of the boosters who control the basketball purse strings.

Miles on the other hand sees boosters as a necessary evil and does very little to gain their favor. It almost came back to haunt him this past November.

I Love basketball and I'm sure many others do too. Even if you're not a basketball fan you have to be embarrassed about the Blackeye LSU basketball is receiving from the national media

I think the big time basketball boosters are made up largely of holdovers from the Dale era. I know of at least a couple who are anyway.

There's some loyalty to that regime. The same loyalty that got us in this predicament.

I think some of the others brought their loyalties and $ over to baseball.

Then why are you posting about it? Go find a thread about a topic that you do care about. Literally nobody gives a frick if you care or not. So just get the frick on Felicia

Ha! I'm with ya' jd...never understood this. I don't go to the soccer board and shite all over their posts, or blast all the baseball threads even though I have very little interest until post season.

But folks for some reason at a rate higher than on any other subject seem to have some pathological need to tell us how much they hate basketball and don't like it. But they keep posts on it going by that very act...very curious psychological phenomenon.

Kinda like someone saying....I'm heterosexual....I'm heterosexual....I'm heterosexuall, over and over un-prompted.

Because that's what they do. Don't you watch the news? If you don't agree with their point of view then you are a racist. Learn this man. Because the media is biased and we have to hear this frickin bullshite every day.

If no improvement, I can see changes next year in both. I just think LSU won't be trigger happy right now, especially with the way football was handled.

Next year JJ will need to "Coach up" a team that will lose 3-4 starters. Worst case scenario...Victor and Patterson are the only returnees who played significant minutes. I don't think there are three SEC-caliber starters in the incoming recruiting class? Even if Blakeney returns (which I doubt) I don't think he changes the outlook that much.
