Only 14 teams are worse than us in passing

it was painfully obvious that he was not ready vs Auburn and if the coaches think that he still is not ready why risk breaking him?

If starting against either Arkansas or A&M and playing poorly breaks him, then he probably won't be too great anyway.

I don't think that would BREAK him.
He may not light the world on fire against A&M or may not have against Arky, but he couldn't have done worse than AJ, and would have at least gained experience.

on another screen, i was reading this meditation:

I always have two lists: things I'm happy about and things I'm not. It's my choice which list I focus on.
--Anne Arthur

Why do we all too eagerly see the glass as half empty rather than as half full? It need not be a habit that we are stuck with forever. All of us feel helpless at times to change our vision of life. Discouragement and self-pity become comfortable, and we fear that discarding them will leave us vulnerable.

Seeing the glass as half empty is a sign that our attitude is holding us back. Unfortunately, a bad attitude is seductive. It's as though we find pleasure, perverse though it may be, in feeling sorry for ourselves. Sometimes we even imagine staying in that place forever. It's then that we need the warmth of loving friends, and it's no accident that we are surrounded by them in this fellowship.

We may, at first, try to ignore those reaching toward us, but we will soon feel their presence. We can thank God for the inspiration to adjust our attitude.

If I reach out lovingly to someone else today, I will not need a nudge from my Higher Power to adjust my attitude.

Also history has shown that the recent "successful" LSU QB's all either sat or were redshirted their freshman season. (used wikipedia to refresh my memory)
Rohan didn't play his freshman
Mauck redshirted
JaMarcus redshirted
Matt Flynn didn't play
Mett sat for a year even after being coming in from JUCO.

Do you actually think it's about Harris sitting? Or do you think that during your own explanation, you finally realize that a head coach should have another redshirted good qb in the wings, if Jennings ain't getting the job done How many QBs have been run off? Do you have that list of Garrett, Rettig, Rivers etc?

The head coach is responsible for ALL goings-on of the team. He isn't getting the job done while other newer coaches are passing him by. WHy is this so hard to understand?

How many were recruited but didn't have the talent or were not developed. You answer your own question.

hit the "frustration" nail on the head. ...it is not all about AJ and BH

and in a lot of the years shown..we had an effective QB for the most part

What make you so sure that BH is beating out AJ in practice and Mile just stubbornly refuses to play him? Did you ever stop and think that BH is still struggling with the offense (hopefully improving but still behind AJ) like Miles says?

So why on God's green earth, did Miles not only play, but start Harris against a top 10 opponent on the road? He has said countless times himself, that he does what gives LSU the best chance to win. He said himself that the fans and media don't dictate how he runs things. So what made him decide to play Harris over Jennings?

What justifies him not even playing Harris at all against Arkansas when the game was pretty much over? He did it against MSU when we were down by like 18 with 3 something minutes left, so why not down 17 with 4 something minutes left against Arkansas? Why in the hell did he not in in when we went up 34-3 against Kentucky?

Most popular guy on team playing bad(that doesn't have a great QB) is the back-up QB

This has been the case in Baton Rouge for 40+ years. Hell, people clamored for Coach McClendon to bench Bert Jones for Lord's sake.

Reality is Harris was running a more complicated offense in high school. The offense LSU runs is not complicated at the QB spot. He has maybe 20 passes a game and half of those only have 2 WRs.

You live in a different reality.

TCU switched to an entirely different system. They changed to an air raid and got the guy from Houston. The dramatic fall of Houston's QB from last year to this year and rise of Boykin from last year to this year, is astonishing.

John O'Korn
2013 - true freshman 259/446 (58%) 3117 yards 28 TDs 10 ints (started 13 games)

2014 - sophomore 89/172 (51.7%) 944 yards 6 TDs 8 ints, (benched after 5 games)

Trevone Boykin
2013 - sophomore 105/176 (59.7%) 1198 yards 7 TDs 7 ints, 105 car 313 rush yards 7 TDs, 26 rec 204 yards (5 starts played significantly in two other games at QB and RB/WR the other 6)

2014 - junior 229/386 (59.3%) 3024 yards 24 TDs 5 ints, 122 car 548 yards 7 TDs (started and only played 10 games)

TCU brought in an air-raid style offense this year. Shockingly enough, it really opened up the offense and Boykin has looked very good running it this year.

Kind of reminds me of the second half against Wisc when we spread the field...or when Harris came in against NMSU, or when Harris came in against Miss St.......................food for thought

So by your logic the coaches have completely given up on AJ and don't care if he gets "broken"? And Harris was ready and able to come in against MSU, NMSU, and START AT Auburn, but because he has one bad outing in which we were down 24-7 in the first 4 drives, only threw a handful of times in said drives, and our D couldn't stop a nose bleed, obviously Harris isn't "ready" whatever that means and this year is a wash for him?

Keep in mind AJ went the wrong way on a hand off just a few weeks ago, when he has almost 2 full years in the system.

I said it before and I'll say it again, the entire way Harris' start at Auburn was handled was complete hot garbage. He should have started NMSU and the coaches should have thrown the entire playbook out there. NOT run it 75-80% of the game. He gets his first start in a perfect environment, we know for sure we will win so you can burn some time working on things and if Harris doesn't understand the playcall or whatever, call a time out and straighten it out. Instead we basically throw him to the wolfs and everyone on here is acting like its complete and utter proof that Harris doesn't know the offense, he he isn't "ready".

And you keep mentioning Harris getting "broken" mentally when infact he was probably the highest he had ever been entering the Auburn game after the outstanding NMSU game. What the hell is going to happen to him when we bring in a JUCO guy who will most likely start for 2 years? If anything I would think he would take it as a slap in the face and see it as the coaches have ZERO confidence in him.

Guys are going to have bad games. It's inevitable, but they also have a short memory. The key to keeping confidence is having the coach trust them. Once that's gone, so goes Harris' head.
