Is this what Les Miles has done to us? Seriously?

Its MSU.

ITS MISSISSIPPI STATE...

OMG they have a NFL talent on the D'line, what we going to do!!!???

Unless we have been recruiting 2* on the Oline for the past 5 years I am not sure why we are worrying so much.

Far too many threads about this.

There is 1 position that STATE MIGHT, yes MIGHT, have an advantage and that is QB. Only because dipshit can run, but you know, Aranda seems to have that locked up.

Is beating La Tech that devastating to our morale?

Seriously, where does STATE out advantage us position to position?

This entire board said the exact same thing in 2014, and look what happened.

Some of you need to stop saying people are worried because we don't expect LSU to win by 30.
I'm a normal LSU fan and will be happy with a good game and a 10 point win.
Some on the other hand are going to lose their minds and post idiotic chick little negative crap all week next week if we don't blow them out.

first road game always a little nerve racking. i think the les thing still lingers for a lot. so many years of watching the team be so flat mentally in games.

may take some used to watching a team that is prepared to play a football game from the kickoff. it will for me.

Les Miles happened. He lost focus and refused to change.

We should win but don't be naive and think a loss to a SEC team on the road with a very good coach is impossible.

Thats true. Was nice watching LSU on tv and a not having the announcers call the play before it was snapped.

Such a strange feeling!

We are beyond that. To fire Les Miles and then lose to MSU is well,

lets just say its not going to go over well at all as it shouldn't.

I don't think it's Les Miles. Les was something like 11-1 against State. That's pretty good.

The nerves simply have to do with State being, at worst, an average SEC Team. We're playing them on the road and it's the first conference game. It wouldn't have mattered who our coach was for the past 10 years, this game would, and should, create excitement and nerves in players, coaches and fans. That's why games are fun.

Let's also remember that Vegas set the line around 7. Not 17, not 70. They believe, as many people do, this could be a one possession game. That makes it nerve-worthy.

We have Orgeron. They have Mullen.

LSU fans and their concerns shouldn't be illegitimatized.

Let the Les Miles regime, and all of its shortcomings, go. The future is potentially great if you can only realize it...

We aren't going to realize positive futures when mired in negative pasts.

Honestly I don't think we really know how good either team is based on their first two opponents so that leads to some natural anxieties.

The last 3 years we have wins by 2 points, 3 points and a 5 point loss. We have dominated MSU in overall wins, 16 out of the last 17, but they have certainly posed a challenge lately.

I think we win and should be double digits, but we are also favored against all opponents this year except Bama. Does that mean we will win all those games?

The bottom line is this:
Our defense is incredibly talented but young at many positions. They could be prone to breakdowns as they grow in experience.
In 2 games we have 21 penalties for 160 yards. We have to seriously clean that up or it will cost us in a big game.
We have FG kicking issues.
Despite big offensive outputs, theoffense has not been smooth (understandable)and is not performing well in the red zone.

I have no doubt the team will improve in all of these areas. The issue is that MSU will be playing us at a time when we aren't yet firing on all cylinders and the potential for them to catch us at the right time is there.

By the time we go to Florida I think we will be a much better team. I honestly think we blow them out.
