Why I don't want JD5 to play in bowl game

Many will disagree, but I don't want Jayden to play against Wisconsin. For one, it's an absolute nothing game against an unranked opponent. Second, JD has absolutely zero upside to playing and only downside. He played really well or great in every game this season so one more isn't going to do anything to impress scouts. And if he absolutely craps the bed it could hurt him. Third, he could get hurt and screw up his future. Fourth, I think it's best for the program that Nuss get weeks of practice as #1 and get valuable game experience going into next season.

He's shown his toughness, his heart, and his commitment. He can do what he wants.

I selfishly want to see him in purple and gold one more time. I am 100% okay with his decision either way.

Kinda hoping he just plays a series or two and hangs out with the guys on the sideline.

Would like to see one more effortless 20 yard scramble.

With Daniels we win in a blowout. I really want to see what Nuss can do to be honest. It looks like our stud Wr's will be there so that will not be an excuse. Daniels has nothing left to prove and i say that after not being on the daniels train at the end of last year. Let him go down as one of the best QB's at LSU ever and let's see how bad we really need a portal QB for next season.

This is so overrated. He’s been in the program for 2 years. He will get plenty of reps in the spring especially if he’s the starter. Bryce Young played in the Sugar Bowl last year it did not hurt Milroe

I want to win the game.

People keep saying it’s meaningless and to a degree it is.

But many of the same people saying that will be the loudest complainers if we lose.

I am good seeing him in a drive or two if that is what he wants. Let him Thomas and Nabers get the first few drives, and each get a TD pass and call it a day.

No, it's not overrated to get 3 weeks of practice and a full game as starter. There's a reason everyone wanted week 0 games before FSU both years. A Sugar bowl is a bit better than the Reliaquest bowl. Just be honest you don't want him to play.

He is. Get over it.

He should play for his school that promoted him, it is not all about him.

You could have said you're a Nuss hater. If he's doing what's best for the school that's giving Nuss a start. Oh and Nuss bus means supporting next years starter so I hope that includes you but I sincerely doubt it.

10-3 vs 9-4 ... 10 wins, even though not what it used to be, is still something talked about.

Opting out is what it is in today's game though. If it's not the playoffs, it's hit and miss on whether next-level people play or not. I don't like it, but I don't blame them.

I’m good with whatever he decides. Wouldn’t be mad if he opts out, would totally understand.

Either way, I want to win the game and get to 10 wins.

Won't be mad either way but I'm an LSU fan first, so whatever give LSU the best chance to win is what I want.

If Nuss really needs bowl practices ans a bowl start to lead the team next year after being on the team for 3 seasons, then I hope Kellly has a transfer coming because we are in trouble

Give me a 35 point half or 21 point first Q, and I’ll be happy to lose with our D and Nuss at the helm.

The 2023 Team is playing in a Bowl Game at the conclusion of the 2023 Season. The Quarterback of the 2023 Team is Heisman Trophy Winner Jayden Daniels.

If he wants to play he will. If he opts out it will have nothing to do with "the backup quarterback needs some reps so I'll get out y'all way".

Some of the takes on here are absolutely fricking ridiculous.

Normally I'd retort with Nuss will see a better D in offseason practice.
