re: Skill guys don't win championships - TheTruthPolice
Just running three or four WR's with Forunette back there would have made a world of difference. You don't have to do this against every team all of the time. However if you play a Bama, Arkansas, Wisconsin or any team that can match your power and size, you must not play to their strength. Look at ...

re: Common denominator - TheTruthPolice
He will not allow any pass that can be picked up returned for Td. No slants, passes over the middle etc
This is correct, but it is something even more recent with Miles. I remember when Lee looked good in 2010 such as against UF and much of 2011, he made his living off these quic...

re: Skill guys don't win championships - TheTruthPolice
It doesn't matter how good your line is when teams aren't forced to defend the entire width of the field. Running 1 or 2 wr's in routes for pass plays will never work. The other team always having one more man than we can block, makes it nearly impossible to have success against teams as big and as ...

Common denominator - TheTruthPolice
I have always been pro Miles, but enough is enough. I don't blame the OC's anymore, you just can't if you look at the facts. Some of you are in love with Jimbo Fisher, but even his offenses crapped the bed. He had the most talented squad in LSU history, and he scored 3 against Auburn, and 10 against...

One small comment on the 2011 defense and this defense - TheTruthPolice
In no way am I saying this defense is as good as that defense as of now. I remember a thread a week ago saying you can't compare them when matching them up. Going into the season this defense has a lot more proven players. People seem to forget that Mingo, Montgomery, Minter, Reid, and Brockers were...

re: Could Myles Brennan end up a 5 Star? - TheTruthPolice
I went there for tenth grade in 2001, and it was nothing like that. I never saw a fight, really just a lot of shite talking from those who were not boarders. Basically it was just a bunch of pot heads that parents sent them there because they smoked pot and didn't know how to handle it. Really dumb ...

re: Defense MVP for 2016?? - TheTruthPolice
I think TV will have the biggest impact but at NG he won't accumulate enough sexy stats to get MVP
This so I will go with Key or Adams. Though TV and Beckwith are the most important to stay healthy....

re: Not just floods going to favor Badgers - TheTruthPolice
Aranda is a defensive mastermind but it's pretty clear he is implementing the exact same 3-4 scheme at LSU that he had at Wisconsin. Nobody knows Aranda better than Paul Chryst and his creativity on offense and ability to tailor a game-plan to a specific defense trumps what Aranda will bring ...

re: Football - TheTruthPolice
When was the last LSU qb to look good in his 2nd year out of high school? Jefferson I think not. Flynn and Perrloiux didn't get in the game at that stage. Russell looked way worse in 04. Mauck was playing baseball and looked bad his rs freshmen year. So what are you getting at, no he isn't a Chris L...

re: Why was Sci Martin only a 3 star? - TheTruthPolice
Only in his senior year did he rotate between safety, lb and de. His junior year he played nothing but safety, and he got that ranking despite poor film playing safety. He was all based on potential. For some reason your still going to argue facts with me....

re: Why was Sci Martin only a 3 star? - TheTruthPolice
Mingo played safety in high school. Do you research anything you say? His junior film looked so bad for this very reason. He didn't look fluid and looked like a huge project because he looked lost playing safety. They also don't test high school athletes like they do at the combine. He was an athlet...

re: Why was Sci Martin only a 3 star? - TheTruthPolice
Mingo is a horrible comparison. Mingo also ran way better 4.87 especially when he was that size. Mingo was also workout freak that was all based on potential because he did not play linebacker or d line in high school. ...

re: Why was Sci Martin only a 3 star? - TheTruthPolice
You do realize he measured 6'4 207 when he was tested? You can also comprenhend Ricky Jefferson is 6'0 209? Meaning his bmi was way less than a college safety back when they were ranking players for his class. Were you being serious? I hope not......

A lot of college safeties are between 200-215 lbs which is what he was summer before his senior year. You can't be that thick in head....

re: Why was Sci Martin only a 3 star? - TheTruthPolice
Very simple why he was three star. Typical late bloomer. He was undersized with the size of safety when he was going into his senior year and he never had the crazy production until his senior year. When he signed he was either going to be a first or second rounder, or someone you would never hear a...

re: Speedy & his "lack of interest in lsu" - TheTruthPolice
mmonro, my whole point was that we have had great success with LA guys even though they didn't have LSU offers. Also, not that it really matters, but how has UT "had way more success" in LA than A&M in recent years? They have signed about one guy from LA in the past 5 years.
Yea bu...

Correct me if I am wrong, but wasn't 2009 the only year in the last 20 we did not beat the spread?...
