Why doesn't the SEC get rid of Vandy and Mizzou?

Partly prompted by the fact that we never get to play either of these patsies. But more important, neither program has the means to field SEC-caliber football teams on a consistent basis. Vandy is Vandy - admission requirements too high, and Missouri doesn't have the recruiting base to compete. You have to admit that game last week was a joke.

Like it or not, replacing them with FSU and Clemson would add much needed quality to the SEC East. Anybody agree?

Did Mizzou just win the east two years in a row?

What makes you think FSU and Clemson would want to join the SEC?

Mizzou and A&M don't belong here. I was never okay with it. It's downright stupid as hell that Austin and College Station are 80 miles away and they don't play anymore.

Do you know that Mizzou has won the SEC east twice in their first 3 years in the conference.

As far as Vandy, you know that football isn't the only sport that the SEC compete's in? Vandy is pretty good at Baseball and Basketball.

The SEC loves Vandy. They are one of the charter members with high academic standards which brings up the average GPA and graduation rate. Also, they have a good basketball team and a great baseball team.

Sure, by default. What do you think their record would have been those two years if they were in the SEC West (which, geographically, they should be) and played a Western division team's schedule?

That's what I thought you'd say.

The same could be said about Kentucky or until recently Tennessee. SEC West is still the tightest collection of talent in any division in the country.

Which still means they were better than 6 other SEC school in their division that you are not arguing should be kicked out of the conference. Mizzou is historically an okay football team and they have an all time winning percentage against half of the conference. You can't make an argument based on performance alone that they don't belong in the conference. Maybe culturally they are a poor fit but they are just fine in terms of performance for a conference that keeps around Vandy, South Carolina and the Mississippi schools.

Florida State or Clemson would be awesome for SEC East! I also think University of Texas would be great addition to the SEC West! Mizzou has won the East 2 years running. I'm not going to bash them now. They get a mulligan in 2015 - much like Auburn.

If you haven't noticed, Vandy has one of the best defenses in the SEC & nation this year. They are legit & almost knocked off Ole Miss because of that defense. Offensively though they are very much challenged there.
