I agree he has lost a little fire Sammy...seemed real subdued even when we were 7-0. Maybe he knew what was coming....

Hey Choc, I appreciate your sanity in this situation. Do you think there's any chance Les stays at this point ? Don't see how unless Joe goes.

don't know. i think its probaby 50/50. but i've also heard from some that its already a done deal.

i will say this...if they don't have someone already lined up and we have to go into a coaching search...expect a massive shitshow.

why do you have to add full disclosure to admit you are a gator fan?

miles has had 4 bad years in a row and has showed no improvement (actually has digressed) in that time frame. many schools fire their coach for that. what is causing the conflict, which you probably don't realize it exists (there are those that want to keep him and the factions are close in numbers) is that he has represented LSU with class, he is a great mentor for the players and he's a very likeable guy,not to mention the 2 SEC and 1 NC victories.

It's just a knee jerk reaction from an ignorant fan base. Nothing more than that, really.

Yes it is and at the same time it is something that has been building for a while. Miles has always been viewed with a certain amount of suspicion, for lack of a better word. Some wanted him gone after losing his second game against Tennessee where he blew a 21 point lead and lost in overtime. Others have wanted him gone because of some bonehead moves with clock management that nearly cost us the game against Tennessee a few years back and did cost us a game against Ole Miss. There is this narrative that he can't recruit or develop QB's despite the evidence to the contrary especially on the recruiting side. People forget that his first major recruit was Ryan Perrilloux, the top recruit in the country - a QB whom he kicked off the team. He also recruited Zach Lee out of Texas who was one of the top QB recruits in the country but opted to play MLB. He turned Mettenberger int a top notch passer. Anthony Jennings was a 4 star recruit coming out of Marietta GA and Brandon Harris the current starter was a 4 or 5 star as well.

Personally, I thought at the beginning of the season that Harris was about a year away from being really good . I still don't think the problems of the last 3 games can be placed solely at the feet of Miles.

13 and 10 in conference the last four seasons in conference including barely 500 in the SEC West.

Poor hires for coordinators multiple times. Big contact that has no return. Can't develop a QB. Stuck in the 80's for philosophy.

This team had flaws in the first 7 games if you know football.... I knew we could lose 2 outta 4 in November. But the way we've looked in losing I will admit is troublesome. However, we can't go completely overboard and flush the whole recruiting class and staff by firing Miles this year.

no I hear that. Truth is, he hired a offense coordinator who thinks like he does. Establish the run at all costs and try to "impose your will" on the opponent. It's a way of thinking that only works when you have far superior personel in the trenchs than your opponent and a theory that died for most coaches sometime during the 70's. Yet we persist with this out dated theory and Miles is going down with the ship along with his offense coordinator.

Also the offense is coached so sloppily and piss poor execution of this offense it's just extremely frustrating to watch this team. It appears the offense doesn't even have a coach. A different OC and we probably wouldn't be in this situation right now.

When they can't get a play right AFTER a timeout?
2-7 at the "back end" of the schedule against your division in three years when your fanbase thinks you should be competing for championships AND have the highest paid coaching staff? That team needs to be damn near perfect and not being penalized 13 times.
