Why do they let Doug Thompson do color if he can't even travel??

Because the travel guy is the PA announcer at home games. They've done it this way for a while IIRC

Guys this isn't new. Bill Franques always did the color for travel games. It's been like this for years.

And a job. Calling baseball games isnt it...... They asked him to help call home games & he does a pretty good job for someone with no backgroud or experience doing ballgames, on the side.

Find somebody else, that has playing experience, played here and knows our history, that will take time away from his family and his job for, what amounts to, a dr pepper and some peanuts.
