Contracts changing for rookies makes it less appealing to stay in school and dream of the massive payday.

Some of them have kids and literally can't afford diapers. I don't blame them a bit.

Can someone explain how Collins "improved" he was projected as a first round pick last year, hey he came back and projected as a 1st round pick this year. If he doesn't go top 10 and falls to the 15 range then he is close to where many projectex last year. How did it work out for Ben Wilkerson?

If you search, you would see plenty. However, you just wanted to "rant" and spew the same narrative as others.

There's not one guy declaring early that is ready. To declare early, you better be a first round lock. These kids are lost and don't understand their chance of making a career in the NFL is slim to none

There's something about the program that makes these guys want to leave. Idk what it is.

It is well known that Les likes long practices, they all want to get paid for what they do and feel like they can. Also, losing games when you have the talent to win because your coach is stubborn does not go unnoticed by the players.

My $.02

Perhaps we should be more selective in our recruiting then.

Nobody is NFL ready. The only way to get NFL ready is to play in the NFL.

Trai Turner, the player everyone bitched about last year made 1.9m last year in the first year of his deal. Let's see 1.9m or possible coming back and getting hurt????

Is it? Someone give me 5 years of data not just those 2 years back to back where we had a mass exodus losing like 18 players over 2 years.

Those 18 players absence is huge reason why we are where we are.

I'm not, I want 5 years of data to support it happens more here than anywhere else. LSU has had the most over the last 2 years but what about over last 5? Things go in cycles so maybe another team had a lot of draftees leave before hand.
Every freaks about last couple years when players left early, if a player wants to leave early to support his family good for him. No one can predict if coming back for their senior year will help or hurt, Matt Leinart was projected first pick in the draft and slid down the board, Brady Quinn as well, Ben Wilkerson passed up the NFL for love of Togers and blew out his knee. So I can't say with 100% certainty coming back helps. Some players have maximized their potential and coming back won't help, they will just be a year old going into the draft with the same projected place.
