Why do all of our draft eligible players think they're NFL ready?

Not even a 'stay in school' grade from scouts will keep them from hightailing out of LSU to the pros. La'el Collins even proved coming back will help your draft status. What is the freaking deal with these guys? It's like at LSU you gotta leave as soon as you can, and other schools don't have as much of an issue with it. It's getting a tad ridiculous.

Rant over

short term $ to them is more important than a long term career

If Chavis were still here I bet they would have stuck around. One or two may change their minds if Les hires a stud DC

I think this was going to be the year you see some guys stay... And then Chavis happened. It's always something lol.

I understand though Kwon and co have decisions to make and don't even know who will be coaching them next year if they stayed

Jalen Collins won't be drafted by the third IMO.

Mills is better but he had a down year and he would surely benefit from another year. I doubt any of the D go before the fourth round excluding Rasco... maybe Kwon. Maybe.

Cause they read the rant prior to the season starting. They read how beastly they look in pictures and during individual drills. That will always trump NFL scouts opinions.

There's something about the program that makes these guys want to leave. Idk what it is.

Players that have a shot at the NFL but stay generally do so on the hopes of winning championships.

I wouldn't take LSU as a 50-1 shot today on winning the SEC next year much less the whole enchilada.

I don't understand what Kwon Alexander is supposed to do at the college level that greatly changes where he is drafted enough that it's worth the risk of injury.

He can gain weight while getting paid and not at a huge risk for injury.

Chavis leaving had a huge impact I'm sure

Mills will get drafted

Collins hasn't really done anything to deserve to be drafted but he might have a good combine

Kwon is the only defensive guy leaving that really hurts honestly

Hunter is pretty good too, but replaceable. It's not like he's some superstar.

Mills and Collins...meh

Obviously, they see no reason to stay longer. LSU is not going to be in position to make a run at the National, SEC, or SEC West Championship next season. It has to be the leading factor since the BCS failure versus Bama.

Maybe they believe the system is holding back their talents.

They are getting bad advice from agents.

It wouldn't get started again if there were any logical answers present to the question

I don't think it's agents

I think it's uncles and cousins and moms and grandmaws and stuff

if it was agents they would probably stay more often
