1. Are you asking if you love it? The ? suggest so.
2. If not, do you really love it?

There's also a stigma of Barbe pitchers being used up in high school. Tulane publicly said they would not offer them anymore after they kept requiring surgery.

We didn't. The guys we have are better. He just looks good tonight because our offense has disappeared and we can't hit a slow pitch softball for the last couple of weeks.

It's a fair question. I wonder where he was if at all on our recruiting radar.
Best lefty in the state, but there is the stigma of the Barbe pitchers arms being
gone by the time they get to college.

His velocity isn't great, but neither was Cotton, and I sure wish we had him
right now with his 87 mph fastball that nobody could hit.

Our freshman class was pretty amazing and I don't think anyone could've predicted Marshall just up and leaving before the season started. He was pretty good. Sure could use him in place of Marshall. They'll have a good bullpen next year.

Are you trolling, or do you seriously believe that? If so, what's your definition of "even"?

To answer the OP, 11.7 "ships". Leger looks like a good college pitcher.

would have probably been a weekend starter for us. he was a miss by the staff, but easy to overlook with the crop we pulled in

It's not a dumb question to ask why, it is dumb to say we shoufld
offer someone.

I guarantee you there are lots of LSU fans who wonder why after Leger's
performance last night. Strictly an assumption but I would have to guess
that like Fontenot on the same Barbe team, they viewed him with little to
no upside. Lange is the exception, but most all of our really good pitchers
are somewhat raw as a freshman and don't become really good or great till
their sophomore years.

Manieri has been pretty accurate on his in state recruiting so I trust as to why
he didn't offer him

So who do you not take at that time of the following:

Austin Bain
Alex Lange
Mac Marshall
Jake Latz
Colin Strall
Doug Norman
Jake Godfrey

A few reasons, look at our freshman pitchers, I think they are all better than Leger...Poche is a junk ball lefty, but he can get it over 90, Leger has hard time getting over 85...

ULL fans are asking why they didn't offer Poche.

For every mid 80s lefty like Cotton there's about 50 more who turn out to be guys who get destroyed in college. It's not as easy as always looking at a guy with low project-ability and assuming he can have great stuff.

Also, what freshman pitcher that just came in would you trade for Leger? Not including Ryan May since he was just a late pure walk on:

Jake Latz
Jake Godfrey
Austin Bain
Alex Lange
Doug Norman
Mac Marshall (he was coming in, before douching his way out)
