Tampa didn't promote it well and it was a poor experience.

I don't think anyone has any issues with the Tampa/Clearwater/St. Pete area. It's a cool place to visit. Unfortunately it was a Wednesday...against Iowa...fans are burned out (due to a LOT of factors)...and it was the Outback Bowl. (Their selection history hurt them.)

The field looked much better than the mess we played in (Capitol One Bowl) several years ago in Orlando.

Saints fans (which of course many are Tiger fans) travel pretty well to Tampa each year.

Get a new sponsor and board of directors...and I'll come spend some money there!

Instead of saving money with LSU playing TCU at home, I spent my bowl money in Dallas this year. Maybe Alleva should keep LSU home games in Tiger Stadium.

Bingo.

Keep sending the marquee matchups to neutral sites, making fans travel, and then no one understands why they don't travel in January.

I liked the bowl. I liked the matchup. I'm broke.

3 losses.
Doesn't stimulate this fanbase anymore.
Amen - and the 3 losses scuttled any hope of an NC - and does not bode well for any reasonable hope for another. The 10-win Koolaid drinkers are out in force. There are 20 (count 'em - twenty) other teams that won 10+... not exactly an exclusive club. Let's take a closer look at the 3 losses. Those 3 losses inflicted way more damage than the 10 wins gained us in terms of national prominence and everything that comes with it. They are as inseparable from the season as much as the wins, but the blinded Koolaid drinkers are in denial. They simply don't want the upheaval of finding a new coach. They are a complacent lot that settles for mediocrity - of being "not bad". I'll always be an LSU fan, but I've lost all hope for another National Championship. Sad.

think it's more to do with the season opener that's like a bowl game...there is a level of fatigue in the fan base that needs to be taken into consideration...

LSU played 8 games away from Baton Rouge in 2011 and sold out every bit of each allotment.

The attendance was an opponent and 3-loss team result.

For me and my age-group it's better than Orlando and ATL. Much more to do in TPA. Good New Years location.

Never understood the hate for the stadium either. Easy access in and out and very nice layout/concourses.

It's about time we beat Bama, and quit playing close games with lesser teams.

As long as Les Miles is at LSU, we will continue to struggle with inferior teams. It's one of his calling cards, along with poor clock management, and sloppy play. He wins, but it's never gonna be pretty.

Don't believe LSU had 6000 in the stadium. Had lots of Iowa assholes mixed in the LSU side.

Long standing NYE plans. Even if I had planned to go, everyone in house is in some stage of illness so probably would not have gone anyway.

I received my Obamacare letter and my monthly premium increased from $432 a month to $1055 a month. I adjusted accordingly. Next year, THE ENTIRE COUNTRY WILL ADJUST ACCORDINGLY.

Work, work, work. Only two and half years and I will retire. Then I will catch a lot of games.

I thought the stadium was OK. Those replay screens need some updating though

Abandon all hope for another National Championship. Crying shame that one man stands between a deserving program (players and long-time fans) and the Pinnacle of college football.

Multifactorial for us

We usually come down for home and even bowl games from Michigan. Our major barrier this year, as surprising as it may seem, was the chick-fil-a bowl last year. Just didn't enjoy it. May be able to convince the fam again next year.

Here's my 3 reasons:

1. Boring matchup
2. Terrible bowl
3. Did you see what TAF wanted for their travel package? Absurd.

Jesus what a pussy you must be. How'd you feel after 2010? No hope of playing for a championship after that year too I'm sure.

Yea. They were a little old but better than the Superdome.

I want a few things out of my stadium. Open concourses, easy access to bathrooms and concessions with no lines and options for food/beer. It had all of those.
