yeah, it's definitely ensmingers fault guice ran the wrong direction at the goal line last year. I get your point though, however, ensminger did a great job for a fill in OC. the bama game was a let down but etling couldn't hit the broad side of a barn that night.

I wasn't sad to see Cam go, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't curious to see how he ran the offense without Les around.

We might've gotten a better idea of how much meddling with the playcalling was really going on.

I was impressed with ensminger last year. At the same time though that run scheme was dominant against everyone not named Bama, ensminger actually put a little faith in Etling and it worked better than whatever Les and Cam called out of those formations for years. It's all we needed really to win the games we were supposed to

We dominated UF, hard to put that on ensminger when guice fumbled inside the 5, failed fake FG inside the 5, guice ran wrong way inside the 5.

When it came to Bama we could never run power against them, trying to spread them out we got a little preview of this year up front. We were still better last year though with pocic at center, clapp at guard, and teuhema on the team.
The only reason we scored on Bama in 2015 is Harris had an arm that could beat a good DB and hit that one pass to Dural. Other than that Bama fumbled at their Goal line and we ran it in. Not much better than 2016 outside of that

Actually Morris Watts had a pretty formidable offense late 90's lots of bootlegs, traps, option, Herb Tyler didn't have a cannon but we were balanced.

Also 2006-2007 gave us a very balanced offense. Stats were great for 7 games last year but 7 games aren't a full season.

Ensminger's O was the best LSU has ever seen.

Except when we got goose egged vs Bama. And could score on Florida.

We ran up the score on shitty teams. That's it.

Don't expect 40 points per game. We have to keep our defense off the field as much as possible until we get bodies back. Ball control and don't let our QB lose the game on mistakes. Give it time.

I liked Coach Ensminger calling plays but how bad would the discussion have been if Coach O did not bring in a high-profile name to call plays? Everyone would think the sky was falling if he did not hire an OC.
