Was it so LSU would be under funded?

They are wheels, also, this weekend series with A&M - the biggest wheels will get the good seats behind home plate.

And they keep winning reelection when they're eligible. The only reason Jindal won't be governor in 2016 is term limits but he's one of the worst leaders in the state's history.

People have known the leadership in this state is shite for a long time, but they're too apathetic to change it.

Remember that next time you vote for someone just because he has the letter behind his name that you like or he's an incumbent (or when you don't vote because you have better things to do with your time).

We were offered LSU tickets for almost every game. They were NOT free, we had to pay for them. I was offered 2 tickets for every home game. I paid face value. I went to 2 or 3 games a year and other friends or family bought the remaining games. Northeast, Tech, and even Grambling offered also. I always went to about 2 Northeast games in Monroe. I had season tickets in my name also for 11 years in the new addition way up high. Gave them up when I had to move.

how much did you pay in TAF fees? The price of season tickets are a fraction of what it costs to have the right to purchase them.

I said get "dibs" on them so I know the actual tickets themselves were not free. The cost of the ticket is immaterial. What isn't immaterial was way more Tiger Fans wanted to go to the BCS than there were tickets available.

News flash for you "Life is not fair!" Is it unfortunate? Yes, but it is what it is as long as those tickets are being bought changing who is buying them is going to be extremely difficult if next to impossible.

Don't sweat the petty stuff, pet the sweaty stuff it is an easier way to go through life.

Because without the Legislature there would be no LSU.

Get informed. Get involved.

quote:

EXIGENCY
Last week, LSU President F. King Alexander informed the media that LSU was contingency planning for deep budget cuts to include the possibility of exigency. The word sent shockwaves through state and national news outlets.
Alexander has stressed that LSU has not filed for exigency, but is merely outlining the steps involved in the exigency process in case budgetary solutions aren't brought to fruition by the legislature. The university is forced to enter into this kind of preemptive planning because of the short window of time left between the end of session on June 11 and the beginning of the 2015-2016 fiscal year on July 1. If session ends with LSU still facing cuts, there are only 19 days in which to take action.
LOOKING AHEAD: TUESDAY, APRIL 28 - FRIDAY, MAY 1
Today, the House Ways & Means Committee will cosider various revenue generating measures dealing with the Movie Tax Credits remote dealer legislation which attempts to curtail loopholes that large corporations employ to lessen their tax liability.
Click here for the weeks upcoming schedule: Week III Schedule.
THURSDAY -- Action Alert!
LSU students have planned a rally on April 30, starting in A.Z. Young Park at 12:30 p.m.The LSU Alumni Association is sponsoring the event that is open to all LSU Alumni. Participants will march to the Capitol from there. If you can make it, see you there. Either way, spread the word!
As always, thank you for your support. We're making progress, but there's still a long way to go before June 11th.

Years ago I went to the LSU/Troy game with a newly elected State Rep. He was new, repped a rural south LA district and was definitely not a powerful person by any means. He had a parking spot behind the bleachers in center field of the old Alex Box and his seats were on the 50, two rows under the old "Welcome to Death Valley" sign. He told me that he had to buy the tickets at face value but there were no TAF fees or anything else, just the price of the tickets

Seated all around us were TAF members, LA reps, LA senators and lobbyists

Given what's happened with state funding for LSU, I can't understand why LSU would do anything at all for those assholes.
