it is a money thing first and recruiting 2nd. I belive it is somewhere in the neighborhood of 7 million that LSU generates in revenue for a home game before expenses Texas A&M and Arkansas are guarenteed 5 million per I am sure LSU and Oregon are getting atleast that amount.
Besides jerry jones is lobbying for the cotton bowl to be the 5th BCS game if it ever comes to that and all of these high profile games help his cause to prove the venue is great for that.
