So he knows the game. It DOES NOT make him entertaining in the least. The job of radio is to entertain and attract an audience to listen to the commercials. Canevari would cause the average listener to check out GMorgan's PBP thread.

Definitely not my intent. G knows we all appreciate his hard work and dedication. Dude is always on point.

What I meant is that there are folks who make it a point to listen to the radio broadcast specifically for Hawthorne. They don't GZ the game and listen...just listen. To them it's not a frickup...just Jim being Jim. If he leaves, they'll likely find other avenues to follow the game ie) G's Thread.

Hannagriff is not a play by play guy. I like him providing color for the broadcast though.

People are going to miss Hawthorne when he's gone. I think he's begun to slip over the last couple of years, but prior to that, there isn't a guy I'd rather listen to as a radio PBP guy.
