no idea but, his backup will be the most popular person on the team.

Etling and Harris are both still eligible next year

Eligibility ran out half time of the Bama. Let the youngsters have it.

I don't know if I can watch Etling again next year. Even under a coach like Jimbo, he is mediocre at best. There's a reason why he only had 4 offers.

Lacks raw skill and arm strength. We need someone who can throw to all parts of the field, our WR corps will be solid again

big part of that depends on who the next coach is. Etling is probably the favorite because he'll be a senior. Harris probably transfers. Scott and McMillan will battle Etling.

Ppl are high on McMillan.. Who parallels Scott in many ways. Both smart and athletic. Both led their team to state titles. Both played at tough Hs divisions. Both didn't have many d1 offers. I'm gonna say Scott wins the job. Something about him.. McMillan will be #2 and will compete closely for the job.

Call me crazy, but if we hire Herman then I think Harris would be the favorite to earn the job....

Hopefully that wont happen since the rant said DE is so much better than BH.

I don't see how Harris fits any system. He simply can't accurately throw a football. He's not a great running threat either, above average, but not great. An inaccurate passer with above average running ability, how is that a good fit for anything?

I wouldn't rule out transfers if Jimbo or Herman are hired.

Scott did have D1 offers.

-Syracuse
-Wake Forest
-Rutgers
-Maryland
-Tulane
-ULM
-Ark State

I agree that they were both under-recruited given their HS accomplishments.

I do agree with McMillan having a parallel skill set. I think Scott has a higher football IQ. Mcmillan is higher on the depth chart right now. Hard to say whether that is because of Scott's red-shirt status.

Etling will most likely start next year. Brennan is too young.

This sounds like Etling. Myles Brennan is the future. He will be ready to start from day one next year. We need to start someone else this weekend.

Depends on the coach. If it's coach O or jimbo it'll be etling if it's Herman most likely it will be Scott or harris. McMillan will never start in the sec nor should he ppl that say he's athletic have obviously never seen him play he's got a pop gun arm and is very accurate we didn't recruit him cam went to Texas with peveto to watch an olineman and saw McMillan play on the guys team and liked him so offered him. He's a 2/3 star guy. We picked him up that year because we had no qb signees except Jennings.

i 2nd all this... big fan of his as well... but i do think Etling, being the #1 for this season, and going into next season, will make large strides... will it be enough to beat Bama? dunno, but i do think he'll improve under Jimbo...

Didn't we say that last year about Harris?

It won't be Etling. He has stepped in nicely but does not possess the physical tools required to beat out the other athletes. He was brought in as an insurance policy and has earned a free ride to a degree but I just don't think he will win the job for 2017

Honest question. How does Lindsay Scott compare to Dak Prescott? I know both weren't very highly recruited kids from Louisiana. But what I'm asking about is height, high school stats, arm strenght, etc. I'll hang up and listen.
