Risher

I was only a marginal LSU fan prior to my freshman year in BR. The QB that year was Allan Risher, though I did follow enough know that Woodley and Ensminger preceded him and did reasonably well as QBs.
I would have to say it was really Risher that I first followed and made it a point to watch.

I was a little late to the party so mine was Jordan Jefferson. But Mett was more of my guy.
Grew up brainwashed thinking I was a Sooners fan. HS, I came to Nola for the first time and it was during the magical 2011 season, that sold me on going to LSU, never looked back since.

Pat Screen, he had the whole package but got hurt early in the 1963 season when I became an authentic Tiger supporter. Then later in that season, and in much of 1964 as well, Billy Ezell, who was TERRIBLE! Occasionally he would connect with receivers for brilliant TD passes, like vs Ole Miss to Billy Masters, the tight end (also in the Bama game the next week), and to Doug Moreau in the Sugar Bowl vs Syracuse, but more often than not he stunk up the field, and a game performance of 1 completion in 12 attempts, with 2 interceptions, occurred more than once in his tenure.
Pat Screen, on the other hand, was AMAZING, both passing and running, in limited action, in 1963, 1964 and 1965.

I watched LSU games before 1982 and knew guys, but I fell in love with the LSU Football team that year as a 12 year old with Dalton Hilliard and Gary James coming in as freshman.
So...for me, it was Alan Risher on that 1982 team throwing to Eric Martin.

Matt Flynn 2007. I was like 8 or 9 and I remember so much about that season.

Same here. 1999 was my first year at LSU. Bring a member of TGBFTL, it was also the first year I truly followed LSU football, or any college football, hardcore. Prior to that, I mostly watch or listened to the Saints. Now I follow both equally.
